like they have pulled it back of the site.

It worked but it reset my audio routing, volumes and navigation settings. All the presets are fine. Hopefully they fixed several of the issues with the navigation. Guess I'll find out in a few days.

True but not at all surprised.  The original GT6.5 head unit is still getting updates to try to fix issues.  That is 6 years into production.

How many times have you had to update your car or truck Nav / infotainment system to make it work right?  I have never had to do a car or truck, both older than my bike.

I am not surprised at the updates HD sends out to improve the systems. The last 4 cars/SUV's we've had all required numerous updates. The little Chevy Commuter car we had required 4 one year, and one of them wiped the unit and required a new radio head unit to make the back-up camera work again (?). The current car gets 2 a year and I have done it twice now and both were definite improvements over what we had. The GMC has only had a couple over the years but I a probably missed some on it by just not keeping up.
So Dave I am surprised you've never had to update your vehicles, maybe dealer does it for you?

my car does updates automatically. I didnt even realize it did that until I happened to see it flash quickly "update complete".

Not aware of my dealer doing it for me.  The 18 Corvette has only been to dealer 3 times, 500 mile oil change, one year oil change and second year old change, it just went over 11,000 miles yesterday had it 2 years and 2 months.  I have only seen it go to the oil change rack., not to corvette service bay.

my car does updates automatically. I didnt even realize it did that until I happened to see it flash quickly "update complete".

Just realized my 17 F-150 does updates automatically via wifi.  I'd didn't know that till I saw these posts and read my owners manual after.

Maybe the Corvette does it too?  I'll have to read manual.  Either way I'm still correct, I have never had to update them...

Yesterday I was able to update the software on the bike.  After more than 7 months, I can now make and receive phone calls with my iPhone 11 Pro.  That makes me very happy.  I see it has also added more apps that are available.

Cant remember them all as I was just happy the iPhone 11 Pro pro phone now works.

Google maps is one I know I saw along with Tune In Radio, Pandora and a few others.

The CarPlay screen now can be 3 screens like in my truck.

Ill have a good test of it over the week end, riding to Eureka Springs AR.

i thought you meant new to carplay.  i've been using those apps for a while.  i have a free 6 month trial to spotify, but don't like it as much as pandora.  waze is great if you're on a pretty heavily traveled road as you can get the speed camera, police ahead, road hazard ahead updates.  the more 'wazers' on the route, the better information you will get.  but i like google maps or the harley road planner for actually mapping out a route.

I had to go into my settings and turn it back on after I did the update. It also reset my navigation and volume settings and audio routing.

down loaded update of this site . no problem first time for me no issue
android works
android auto works
google map works . with good detail , time and distant to turn , voice recon with the sena 20 nevo which I am using on an open 3/4 helmet , recent searches on goggle maps all show up , you can pull gas station, restaurants or whatever   lists up  in categories

spotify(no pandora in Canada) works awesome all play list showup , album cover art , forwarding songs , playlist of what songs coming up  next , pause button and all handle bar controls

issues i did have my phone cable was not a good quality one and had to change it
(on a road glide I have a ciro 3d phone holder and had cable ran down handle bars and up threw the fairing in to right hand fairing pocket) it took me a while to figure out. buy the best cable possible it took all of 6ft

I am actually happy with for the few hours I have had with it

also...had a problem with the Siriusxm weather radar. Could not zoom in.  Every time I would zoom in it would hold for a second then unzoom back out automatically.

So I re-installed version M20.19.39.00 and both AVC and weather radar zoom began working again.

Not sure if these issues are universal or just applicable to my system.

Will try a fresh new firmware download to see if that make any difference.

Wish Harley would state the Release Notes for this revision MY21.20.17.00 like they did on other revisions .  Has any one seen it anywhere?

Funny how I did not see this come from HD. Been waiting for announcement, work has been nuts but decided to drop in on the forum yesterday and saw this post!

Thanks boys (and girls). Installed update, plugged in phone and bam, there was Android Auto! Charging HD Sena now to pair with phone so me and Google can start our relationship. Glad I did not buy and install WJIM, glad I kept Sena HD headset, glad HD and Android are playing in same sandbox. Now, have to really study harder on how to plan a Google map trip on laptop, be able to open on phone and how to save for offline use as cell service in NC mountains is sketchy.

Excited though!!!!!!!!!

Well, that went over like a fart in church.....Paired HD Sena to phone, headset can speak to Android auto when phone is not plugged into bike. Headset and Boombox show up on phone Bluetooth list. Mash microphone button on Android auto on GTS screen and it doe snot hear voice over headset. Removed phone from GTS, but as soon as I plug it in with USB cable (needed for Android auto) phone is again added to Bluetooth on GTS.

I give up. Can't figure out why headset would work on Android Auto with phone not plugged into bike with USB, but won't when it is.

So frustrated, waited for so long for HD and Android Auto and Harley to get their crap together and all for nothing. There is not even a keypad on Android auto so how the f&^ck are you supposed to add anything to a Google map with it on the GTS screen?????

Sounds like it is just like CarPlay.  Phone must be plugged into the USB for CarPlay to work, will not work via blue tooth.  Seams Android Auto is the same.

I can also say CarPlay will not work via blue tooth in my 18 Corvette or my 17 F-150, it has to be plugged in also.  So this may not be an Harley thing but a CarPlay thing or in your case an Android Auto thing.

Sort of.....Android Auto or Apple Car play can't really stream over Bluetooth as media (music and maps) use a lot of data, so the hard connection is needed. I think the issues is Bluetooth connection to the phone, the headset and the bike. Can't understand why when I remove my phone from the pairing on the bike in Bluetooth, it automatically pairs again when I plug the phone in with the USB cable, that to me make zero sense and I think that is the issue along with the fact that HD wants me to spend $300 on their WHIM!!!!!

I don't have an Apple phone to try it, but BMW cars can use Carplay wirelessly. So I guess it can be done.

Yes, I did not realize you did not have the WHIM.  That is needed.  The other option is to have the dealer flash it so no WHIM or headset needed.  Then it will work but you can not talk to it.

Had it flashed so AA works on screen, just assumed headset would work with phone and AA on phone

Phone has to be paired to the bike.  Headset has to be paired to the bike.  It will not work if phone and headset are paired.

Well, there goes the "no need to buy the WHIM" idea  :(

Well, there goes the "no need to buy the WHIM" idea  :(

I can only speak to my experience.  When I installed the GTS on my 15 SG, out of the box, before having it flashed, when I plugged my iPhone into the usb, Carplay would come up.  With a plugged in headset in I could use the Boom or Siri speech commands.

What I didn't try, Is what would happen if I had my Sena paired to the iPhone while plugged into the Boom usb.

I'm very impressed with the functionality of the Boom GTS. I have since installed the WHIM.  As of to date the stuff just seem to work.

*HD Sena paired via BT iPhone
*HD Sena paired via BT to GTS Boom
*Iphone paired via BT to GTS Boom
*Iphone plugged in Booms usb (makes Carplay available)

Seems like a lot of pairing going on but like I said, when I hop on the bike whether I have my headset or not, Iphone plugged in or not, so far it does what its suppose to due.

Don’t you know there should be social distancing? 10 feet apart! too much pairing going on!

Think I found a glitch in the latest software update.

Even though I have the headset Sidetone disabled on my Harley 30K headset. Sometimes it still lets me hear my own voice.
This has happened only since the last update was installed.

Anyone else notice it?
