MP3 DVD
« on: July 08, 2008, 06:09:23 PM »

Has anybody tried to burn their ipod mp3 files to a music dvd that will play in the harmon kardin? The manual says that you can have up to 10 hours on a single dvd. Cool. But how do I do it. I tried from I tunes but keep getting an error. Do I need a certain format dvd recorder?

I didn't think Itunes were MP3 format. I believe you will need to convert them to MP3's to have the radio be able to play them. :nixweiss:

I've burned CDs from Itunes and the radio plays them just fine. You can only get 80 mins. on a cd though.  I have never tried to burn to a DVD.

Use Windows Media Player 11. It will recognise the I-pod and makes it easier to transform them to MP3 data files. Then use CD-R not DVDs. You can get about 200 three minute songs on a 630MB CD. These are different than regular playing CD beause they are compressed data files that the HK reads the same way a computer reads a file. My 06 will only see about 150 of the 200 files on the disk. Neat and cheap way to make mixes and share your music.
A DVD will hold over 4 Gigabyte so that would be around eight times the CD. It would be great if they make the HK read DVD data disk.  ;)

What came after the green bike Mike?

Cycle Connection made me an offer I couldn't refuse on a black 08 ABS Ultra. I've been really hot for an ABS bike but nothing jumped out at me.
So I decided to go basic for a bit.
Just came back from a short cruise around lake Michigan and got nearly 50mpg. RKoch also sold his banana and bought a black ABS FLHX.
Sure did enjoy the 40,000mi I put on the "green dragon" though.

Had seen the green bike on the floor at the dealership.  Two times I saw it they had it marked as an 04.  Just for grins I asked one of the sales staff if he was sure of the year other details about the bike.  He was certain it was on 04 Street Glide.

That sounds about right.
I did say a couple of years ago that the only thing that would make me sell that bike was if HD came out with a good ABS system. They did. so I did.
I was really astounded at the deal they gave me. Even my wife told me I would be crazy not to take the deal.
I added some XIED's and the mid frame heat deflectors to get rid of the heat issues and that made it very pleasant to ride on this last trip. Don't think I'll make a whole lot of mods to this one. Well, maybe I'll take a few things off here and there, and make a few other things detachable.
