Boom 2 Factory or not.

Ok, so I bought a used 2016 CVO Road Glide in November and it has a boom stage 2 installed. What I don’t know is if it was a factory install or a dealership install. How do I tell?.?

Any help would be appreciated..

Well my 2016  CVO SG came with the boom ll factory installed. One Amp in left saddle bag and one Amp in fairing.

Don't know if that helps.

Interesting. I have 3 amps installed: 1 in the fairing; 1 in the saddlebag and 1 under the tour pack. The way the connections are made in the saddlebags appears to me that it wasn’t factory. That’s what I am trying to determine for sure how cans you tell.

I answered on the Road Glide forum also. Your bike (and any of the CVO Ultras regardless of fairing) only came from the factory with the Boom (single amp). Not the Boom2 which is multiple amps and upgraded speakers. The non Ultras (think street glide and road glide) came with the Boom2 from the factory.

If you have 3 amps, someone spent a huge chunk of money on that upgrade.

Thank you OBB.  This definitely answers my question.  My apologies for posting this in multiple forums was hoping to get more visibility.  But thank you for the responses...  Very much appreciated.

Yea,, previous owner put a lot of money in this bike not just with the audio but other significant upgrades as well and the bike had under 5000mi when I bought it.  His loss is my gain...  I'll take it...  This bike is a stunner (at least to me) I couldn't let it stay on the showroom floor when I saw it...
