Thanks Azsse! Would prefer to be riding the snot out of it but since the snow and cold prevents that for a few more months, mods will have to see me through.

Also got back the new horn cover. Leni did the red wing tips. Should look cool! Yes, I use a red camera - they're faster!

I like that and I've got all of the flame accessories on LD. Tell you what, I'll trade you my Screamin Eagle Horn Cover for it

Alright, it's been a few weeks since I've posted anything but that doesn't mean I'm asleep at the handlebars. It's colder than crap up here (-22 this morning) and I've had two weeks off for the holidays and lots of time indoors to plot and scheme. Had an incredible stroke of luck a few weeks ago when I walked into a local leather store and met a guy who is an absolute artist with tooled leather. We chatted for a while and I showed him a few ideas. He took what I had and amped it up a bit and the next few photos show the result. If you remember from earlier posts, the black plastic back of the Corbin driver backrest wasn't gonna do it for me so I set out to try to find something worthy of gracing the wide glide. I am extremely pleased with the result!

Let me know what you think.

A closeup of the artwork. The detail this artisan got on leather is amazing! This is a high def photo so you can download it and see the great detail.

Hey BuyEarly......I'll say you haven't been asleep at the handlebars!  That's very nice.  I've got to see that in person.....looks like the detail is unbelieveable.  Get a shot of it on the scooter when you can.  What a find....this guy's a 'artist' with leather.  ;)  spyder

Buy Early, I am amazed at what you've done to one of the already best looking bikes HD ever produced.  You make the designers at the CVO look like.....well.....amateurs at best.  Really, those guys need to take lessons from you on how to really single something out from the production models.  But I suppose the end product would cost an arm and two legs if they did that.

And I also get a kick out of someone else who obviously still fusses over one of the earlier CVO bikes. :2vrolijk_21:

I really like the matching (and I mean really matching :2vrolijk_21:) gold flames on the otherwise blank body parts, and the tan leather to match the seat is another really unique and good looking mod.

Hey BuyEarly,

Outstanding additions! (You ought to contact Corbin with your ideas!)   :apple:

Like RedFXR2 said, the matching flames on some of your scooters body parts should be a lesson to Willie G. and his team!

I'm getting tired of saying this, but I'm a little jealous!  :drink:

DAMN, you've got a "one in a million" FXDWG2! :2vrolijk_21:

Keep it up!

Your Switchblade brother,
BUFFY

Having a custom windshield bag and trunk bag made using tan leather. Want the SE logo on both if possible. Did some research, met some talented folks and came up with a workable solution. Trial results below. Should look outstanding on the trunk bag!

In working with the embroiderer on the SE work, I found I could do some other creative things. had acquired a cover bag on ebay since the original owner didn't have it and added the bike designation. Turned out nice!
