Flame covers golded and awaiting reassembly and installation. Gonna look cool! You could never do this to a BMW!

Spent much of the day Monday going through the Glare treatment on the WG2. All 3 steps (Spider, Micro Finish, & Polish). Can't say I was overwhelmed with the result, perhaps because I keep the bike pretty clean and shiny all the time. It was worth the effort and the tins are now much smoother to the touch, kinda like a baby's bottom. The nicest surprise was how shiny the glare polish made the chrome look. That was the only Glare product I tried on the chrome. Really shined it up.

Used the Griots Garage foam pads for application. Worked slick. Used the 3" orbital on the larger areas, saved on the elbow grease.

It's great having the right tools for the job. Have really appreciated the functionality of the Pimp Stix product. Lotsa choices of tips and extenders get you into every spot on the bike. Highly recommended!

Got the brush tips for them as well, makes it easy to clean out the tight spots.

Got the bike back from the shop with the new shocks and tire installed. Overall, very pleased. The Progressive shocks seem to be a very high quality product. The gold flames don't show up too well in the photo, have to work on better lighting.

Had to alter the mounting hardware a bit to allow for the saddle bag roller brackets attached to the bottom bolt of the shock. I'll have the black portion of the saddle bag roller bracket chromed in the off season so you don't see that black piece amongst all that nice chrome.

The top portion of the shock comes with a bolt cover providing a very nice finish.

New tire. There may be issues here. The WG2 came stock with a 130. The WG3's came with a 140. I asked the dealer to install a 140 figuring there wouldn't be any issues. They called me this morning to say it would be an extremely tight fit but that they could make it work by filing down a few bolts. Picked up the bike and it surely is a tight fit. Side of tire rubs a bit on the inside edge of the fender when the bike is unloaded. Under load, the fender drops enough to clear. Got it home and looked the tire over more carefully. Sure enough, they installed a 150. Not sure if I should keep it on. The dealer will swap it out without charge as expected but I sure do like the look of the wider tire.

Mmmmmm, you know I'm all about the 'looks' of your cool scooter, but a rubbing tire, even a little bit would cause me to change it out.  Don't want a bigger problem and mess up all that detail.  spyder

Mark, if the tire touches at all you've got to change it.  Your first real notice could too easily be not the tire but the hot spot on the fender where the paint got burned from the friction of the rub.
