Hello All,
Looking into purchasing some winter heated riding gear and would like some input, being from Florida and now located in the central US, I’m not up on the best and latest heated gear. Right now looking at the Tourmaster Synergy 2.0 gear, Heated Jack liner, pants liners & gloves. Things I would like to have is full jacket and pants liners with gloves all designed to work together, can be battery or direct hookup to the bike.

Best way to keep warm in the winter months while riding is to move back to Florida... LOL!! Just giving you a hard time.

Can't go wrong with Gerbings heated gear - we ride all year and have been very pleased (and warm) using their jacket liners, gloves, etc. for many years.

Green Cove Springs, well thats better than here but heck thats Gieorgia compare to Cocoa Beach! Gotcha back!

Gerbing is the way to go for heated Gear. Do a Jacket liner, and outer pants. Works best for things like lunch stops. Pant liners are a pain. Life time warranty on Gerbing, and they make the harley stuff, but Harley has a shorter warranty and higher price.

I've found that putting my bike in the garage and driving my truck works best for me.

Gerbings is definitely the way to go. My jacket liner is Gerbings and it's great. My Harley heated gloves are made by Gerbings. Both have stood up to 5 seasons of cold weather riding so far.

Powerlet heated gear works very well.
I agree my Powerlet jacket liner and HD pants liner work great. Esp with the dual wireless controller. I got the powerlet a lot cheaper than the Gerbings and= it has a better warranty.

American (HD) riders seem to be very much a bunch of fair weather riders. Guess that explains the trailers :drink:

Trailer it Jesse ;D - I have a small heater in my trailer that I run off a 2K inverter.
We stay warm in the truck and the bike doesn't get chilled :2vrolijk_21:

Sounds good to me Duane. When I pass a bike this time of year in my cozy cager ( and it's rare that I see one) all I can do is bump up the heat a notch and smile.

I have the gloves, jacket and heated soles for my boots. A pair of long johns is all that is needed for the legs. There is enough heat coming off the motor. A thermostat to adjust the heat to your comfort and away you go. I will ride till there is ice or snow on the road. :2vrolijk_21:
If you want to completely bullet proof to the cold then put a full face on. I will wear one once temps go below or close to freezing.

I would rather ride if I can. We do ride year round. Coming home from spending Christmas in Panama City Beach a few years ago, while getting gas in Birmingham, 29 degrees out, a lady asked me if I wasn't freezing, my reply, " only when stopped"
Its very comfortable to ride into the 20's with good heated gear.
My Bikes nor my wife's bikes have ever been on a trailer.
We share a SUV, its a 12 with 35K on it. We just traded her 13 SG with 42K on it in 18 months. She also rides year round unless snow or ice on the road. 30's are very comfortable

The owner is a bit snarky on his web site about people copying his innovations, but, I can understand, if true. A lot of other brands are/were his products private labeled - Including Powerlet and First Gear.
They do offer a trade up program that is hard to beat. You have to click on "Trade Up" to get the deal.
I ordered on a Tuesday and had it Thursday with free shipping option.

Do you have salt or liquid de-icers to deal with?
That is what puts the stop here for me. Once the chems go down, the bike stays in the garage till the spring rains.

X2!!! That/those chemicals are rough enough on "cages" damn if I want to get that stuff on my bike. Add to that the sand that is mixed in w/the salt on the roads and you find it while leaning hard in a curve. :shocked2:

April 8th, 2013 - treatment for a forecast - that never occurred. They put sock salt on top of this.

Usually just those nasty liquid deicers in your picture. Once in a blue moon salt too. We only get the liquid deicers when snow is in the forecast. I try not to ride when that is put down fresh. Usually a day or two after its down we get a rain and its good to ride again. I do have to wash the bike a lot in the winter to keep the crap off it.
We have too many nice days in the 30's or low 40's not to ride year round.

Ever since replacing a rusted out rear fender on my 2009 Street Glide, I no longer ride after the first salt goes on the road. I couldn't believe that after only 3 years the salty winter road conditions rusted the fender through, even after washing the bike after riding it.

Got the gloves (the Ultimate Touring model) and absolutely love them! Far superior to my Gerbings gloves for sure. Love the double heat in the thumb and the quality of the leather is great!

I also went to Warm and Safe heated gear.Gerbing no longer honors the lifetime warranty. So I traded the failed Gerbing stuff in.
