My husband also has the leather one, and no smell here.  I think you might take it back to the store for a refund, and then order a different one in.  Something does not smell right, so to speak.   ;)

I agree... take it back. When you spend that kind of money on something you should be 100% satisfied.

JCZ,

What's the final review of the Screamin Eagle leather jacket?  [smiley=confused5.gif]

Is a good summer jacket with the perforated leather or is it still too hot to wear/recommend for the summer months? Do tell. Thx

It's about the best "fitting" jacket that I've ever owned.  Haven't wore it yet (since my bike is in Atlanta) but I'll be able to tell you after Cripple Creek.  It is going with me.......ocean to ocean.

Dean;
What ever became of your jacket? The reason I ask is mine came in yesterday and when I unwrapped it from the plastic I could smell it immediately. Its not a new leather smell, more like a musty chemical smell. I have it hanging out to see if it dissipates. I wonder how long it will take to clear up. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

H-D dude,

That is what the smell was like!

I took it back and they all had the same smell to them, they said I could return and get credit if I wanted.

I keep it, used it and after 90-100 days the "smell" went away. It never had a lether nice smell to it, but at least the "bad smell" is gone!
