Title: Exhaust for 2010 SE Street Glide

Has anyone put a set of pipes on a 2010 SE Street Glide yet? If so, what brand?

Have not put new headers on as no one has any on the market yet.  (V&H will have theirs out end of this month or next).   I did put Vance and Hines basic slippons on though.  They are 4" cans like the stock ones only slash-cut.  They look and sound great.  Very happy with them.  May not remove the header pipes with the cat in them as this keeps the bike pseudo-legal, EPA-wise, according the Vance and Hines.  Performance increase was noticeable and heat issues, since having the AFR dropped down, is not bad at all.  In fact no worse than any Harley I've ever had.

I put Cobra 4" slip-ons on mine. Removed the fiberglass packing around the baffles to get a bit more sound out of them. Still not too loud, but sound good when you get on it.

Red Devil---did you do a tuner already as well??

Yes, I put the Super SERT on it and they did a dyno on it...got the AFR down to 13.7 pretty much across the RPM range.  HP was about 88 and Tq was at 104...definitely felt the difference in the "seat of the pants" dyno.  :)

Interesting. I got almost identical numbers with a fullsac 2.0" baffle and cat removal from the headpipe and a SERT Dyno tune. Different AFR targets from my tuner (14.1 up to 3500 then 13.6 @ 4000; 13.3 at 4500 and 5000). My dyno chart is posted on the intake/exhaust/ECM forum...can you post your dyno chart in the thread I set up for dyno charts on that forum?

won't get it until 9/14 according to the UPS site.....oh well....going down to Ocean City on the 18th. Hopefully I will get in installed with a generic performance muffler map before then.

Instead of using a gen map, call Steve at FULLSAC and talk with him. Almost everyone with a SERG has bought his muffler baffles (my 1.75" ones were $107 + shipping and took about an hour to install). I bought my TTS from him and he emailed me a map he had developed. It works great, I have not had mine on the dyno but his bike had 97HP and about 112 Torq (memory??). But it works well, bike runs strong.

Already spoke with Steve today. He suggested a TTS performance muffler w/cat map and to use his map when I get the cat removed this winter.

I put 2.25" fullsacs on my 2010 FLHXSE, sounds great! not as loud as my other 07 SG  with true duals & Rineharts,
I am going to wait until the new stuff is out before doing anything else. Oh yea I also got the fullsac tips but
I wasn't that impressed with them as they are stainless polished and not as shinny as the chrome HD

Besides the fact that it is too quiet and restrictive and everyone rips the mufflers off and modifies or replaces them??? And we are all either having the cat removed in the headpipe or waiting for the aftermarket to catch up and make the replacement headpipes....

Other than that--nobody has any experience with the factory exhaust :bananarock:

I do!  quiet enough to hear the stereo at freeway speeds, still enough power to pass a semi with two trailers, going up hill and........I don't have the heat issues that others have. :nixweiss:

Having said that.......I'm probably going to change to something just a bit louder.....just so it sounds like a Harley.  Just a bit.......don't want the loud exhaust any more.

That's right---you do stil have the stock exhaust--but you are changing it!!! Not saying to go full on crazy loud..but I agree--it should shound like a Harley.
I am surprised you don't feel that heat coming off of the cat though....that's the first thing I noticed. I's sure you will notice when you put the lowers on.

Just a question :
How is it possible that some of you already own 2010 FLHXSE CVO™ Street Glide® ?

There are already manufactured ?

I got mine the first week in August and there are some people that had them in late July. I am not sure what the exact first ship date was.

My Spiced Rum was at the dealer's the in early August. Had my name on it about 30 seconds later. They've got a Concord coming, no word on when or if they'll get a Tequila...

Got mine 8/28 and I was real late to the party!!! But I wanted a Concord Grape one.

We need confirmation but it was my understanding that we wouldn't see much more than 200 bikes per color in each CVO line.

GOOD HUNTING!!!!!

I can't tell where you're located, but my dealer -- High Country HD in the Denver/Boulder area has a Concord on the way. They are a MSRP dealer and treated me great on my Spiced Rum. Ask for Eloy Lopez and tell him Michael Menaker referred you from the CVO Forum.

Hope this is helpful...

Yup. very true.  I also had my deposit down MONTHS ago, and had my name on a "Spiced Rum" about 30-minutes after the announcenet in July.  I am 3rd in line, and was advised last week that my Dealer will know in late November when mine will be in - He advised it could be as late as march - OUCH!  So, like others have mentioned, I'll sit back with excitement and watch all the mods being done  :beerchug:

I just Called Harley Customer Service, They said York will have a 2 week shut down.
I asked if it will affect the delivery date (Oct 5) on my 2010 Street Glide and he said it should not.
Time will tell.
Waiting is the hard part!

Naw.....just turn the stereo up louder. :huepfenlol2:

Don't know of any clickin, tapping or knocking noise but that would scare the chit right out of me.  Nearly 5k miles on it and it's still the best motorcycle I've ever owned.....in every regard. :2vrolijk_21:   I'll be the first to let the world know if that changes.

I personally am waiting on Fullsac Performance to release in just a few weeks their new headpipe for our 2010 FLH bikes. I've talked with Steve & have been told they have made a true stepped header thats also ceramic coated for our bikes.....he says this new header pipe is showing 3 to 4 more hp than the stock gutted headpipes with cat. convertor removed. So I for one, am on his waiting list currently. Hope this helps anyone considering a head pipe replacement in the near future. I understand they are making one head pipe for the 96" and one with a little larger pipes for the 110" motors like the CVO SE Streetglides have.

Thanks for that info! My bike is a January build and if Fullsac comes out with a package containing a ceramic coated headpipe that keeps the stock chrome heat shields with their baffle cores and a dyno fuel map for the TTS mastertune for this package, well that might be the ticket! :2vrolijk_21:

Installed my Boom Cans today OMG I love em!!!!!

Throaty Growl when your on the throttle nice rumble at speed and quieter at cruise.

PERFECT

And at 5.5" wide and 6.75 tall they fill the opening better than any other pipe I've seen (IMHO)

I wouldnt say they are loud similar to my experience with the V&H Big radius 2 into 1 pipe

Nice growl when your on the throttle drops to a rumble when your at cruise
