So I have this noise when I get on it - not a pinging noise but more random. For lack of a better description, it almost sounds like various sizes of pea gravel hitting the oil cooler cover, frame or fender?  Only happens at higher rpms, at shift points, etc.  Could this be a rocker arm clearance issue?  I am going to check it out at the dealer this afternoon - but frankly I have greater confidence in this board's input.

Sounds like rocker box clearancing problems with the valve springs like most of the '07's are seeing. It's not the rocker arms themselves hitting. The boxes need to be clearanced. Hoist!
