rattling noise

Just noticed strange rattling noise in all gears after 2nd.  The noise sounds like it is coming from the transmission.  Has anyone else had this problem.  I have made an appointment at the Harley dealer for Tuesday.  It is a chattering noise that should not be there-I have 7500 miles on the bike.
