I need to tap the collective knowledge. I'm not good at making long stories short but I'm going to try.
Wife's 2016 Fat Bob, 3000 miles... I left an idiot friend alone in my bike garage... I hear a cold start up and extreme revving... I run in and punch his stupid ass and shut it off.
He rides non-HDs and apparently turned into an idiot 10 year old when allowed to touch one for the first time. Shame on me for thinking he's not a moron.
Fresh Amsoil days prior to the moronic action. I know theoretically what damage could be done, but does anyone have any firm opinions?
Should I put new oil in it? :confused5:
I'm so pissed I can't see straight. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't worry about it at all. I see the same thing happen daily at my local dealer where they pull the bikes in and out of the building everyday.

I've known this guy 40 years. In that time I've had 30 bikes he's been around. He's never done dumb stuff before. It's annoying because he knows how I take care of my bikes.
I will beat the living crap out of it, but give it a chance to get the oil moving :-\

Sounds like an old friend who's just screwing with you. Knows how to push your buttons. And in the middle of this Pan-Damnit he was probably looking to get a laugh.

Apparently, it is not very difficult.

40 year real friend vs a motorcycle? And you punched the dude? We have different priorities.

X2. A damn good ass chewing would have went a long way. Hope He didn't bleed on your floor.

No dirty deed goes unpunished, it could have went bad if he whooped yer ass for punching him. :drink:

I had a friend’s daughter wanting to touch my chopper years ago, I told her not to let her daughter touch the hot bike and the reply was “it’s ok she won’t hurt it”. Next thing I know the little girl was crying and her mom was in my face!
Told them both to have a nice day and goodbye. Had that burnt skin on that pipe for a LOOONG time!
You can’t cure stupidity. :drink:

i need a lill help with this one.... who's the idiot :nixweiss:

I hope the boast about punching him was just to make you feel important. New oil? What? A friend for forty years. and you get this upset? Strange.
-
I don't know, I was taught as a child. If it's not yours, you don't touch it without asking. I would NEVER do that to my friends.
-
It was a friendly punch :drink:
Relax.
It's the principle. Don't beat up on other people's chit.
Asked about the oil because I thought maybe the lack of oil flow caused some grinding.
I'm glad everyone is perfect!

Your bike, your garage, your rules, & in this case your idiot friend. Unless the bike is making more racket than the usual Harley racket when running, would not worry about it unless it throws a rod or the motor falls out or something. ;) :drink:
