ROAD CONDITIONS (I-95)
« on: September 28, 2005, 06:48:02 PM »

I am planning on going to Biketoberfest, but havent run down I-95 since the Richmond HOG Rally. At that time there was ALOT of Orange Barrels most of the way going and coming home to the Cape. If anyone has run the route lately can you give me a heads-up on I-95 conditions.  [smiley=nixweiss.gif] [smiley=confused5.gif] Thanks MYCVO

Other than the normal horrendous congestion going south in eves and north in morns - from DC to NC your good.

Have fun.  Think of us when you are on your way past exit 54 - Colonial HD - 1 mile from hiway.

When I went to VA earlier this month, I took I-95 into CT but then caught the Merritt Parkway in New Haven, there was a little construction over the first bridge but it was a good ride to the Tappan Zee Bridge.

There is some work being performed in GA...About 20 miles into the state for about 7 miles, then again towards FL for about 10 miles.

In FL there is work being performed after Jacksonville at the intersection of I-95/I-285.  Some more work closer to Daytona Beach.

Traffic moving fine in most cases.

Good Luck
