Well I think I have a failing bearing in primary. Last few rides I’ve heard the whir or helicopter noise coming from front of primary. Drained the oil and it was silver streaked and lots of silver on plug magnet. Bike is a ‘16 CVO RG Ultra with 16k

No, dealer is doing work. I still have 4 years of ESP left.

Not that I don't trust Dealerships ,.....but you may want to ask them to see the parts they replace. Dealerships don't like doing warranty work. That's not saying they're all like that .

If you were doing the work I would say put in a Baker hi torque primary bearing. Since dealer is doing it I doubt they would swap over for you.

If you put in the "Baker high torque" inner primary bearing, Close up the oil feed hole on the inside of the inner casing, the "Sealed" bearing does not need it, and it can cause pressurised primary oil to breach the seal. I used JB weld, but you can also run a small tap into it and put in a grub screw with a little thread locker.

Well bike is back. New bearing, race, gaskets and Syn3 installed. We'll run her till it starts whiring again. Have 4 yrs left on ESP.

Glad you're back on the road.
If it does go again the main reason would highly be the automatic primary chain tensioner over tightening the chain that will put a constant overload on the inner primary case bearing resulting in bearing+race failure.
It wouldn't hurt to change/ upgrade the tensioner to prevent the bearing failure recurring.
Just a thought.

I have a brand new Hayden M6 on the bench. I've held of installing incase it craps out again. Hate to waste 4 more years of ESP. Trust me its been considered.
