HD Roast and Roll Coffee Pack
« on: March 16, 2005, 05:53:44 AM »

If you spend more than $250, like that is hard to do, March 1-April 15, you can get a real cool gift.  I am on my way to watch some folks do Urban Tactics training this morning, and thought what a great thing to take with me, we are going to be outside in a promise of wintry mix, is this new thermous.  I get it all washed up, the little cream and sugar container filled, and then..... I look and what looks like a thermous is simply a metal shell.  Did anyone else get this little gift?  The shell of course will keep the coffee as warm as the outside.  Hating to look a "gift horse in the mouth" as they say, but I really expected a thermous.  Real "Great" coffee, by the way.  Cool case, useless if the container it is not insulalted like a thermous.   [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

thanks for the heads-up on the non-thermos, Mrs.WeCVO.  I had noticed this 'offer' and intended to persue this $250 expenditure 'gift'.  Won't bother now, though.  Bummer. [smiley=brood.gif]

Remember!

If it's free it's for me!

If your planning to spend the money anyway, might as well get the gift.

I got my free Roast and Roll kit on Saturday.  I too noticed the inside of the thermos was just metal.  I'm not a coffee drinker, but I will try the biker brew.  You would think the motoco would have insulated the thermos.  Maybe they will sell the insulated liner for $30.  Oh well, it's still free. I ordered a long list of both Harley and aftermarket parts from Jeni @ Benji's, a 20% off internet dealer in mid Feb. before my bike came.  I was surprised to receive the R&R Coffee pack included in the order.  My wife likes free stuff and was pleased when I graciously offered the coffee pack to her.  She didn't even bother to ask how much all those parts cost.

Good news mrs. WE, I poured hot water in the thermous at 10:30 pm last night before going to bed and when getting up this morning @ 5:30 am the outside of the thermous was cool to the touch and the water in the thermous was still piping hot.

Well, let me hang my head and appologies for not even trying it. I did not want to waste all that great coffee so used a different thermous on Wednesday.  If it works, I am happy, cause it is a neat little case.  I will use it today.  Gotta love trying it, vs. letting it sit on the cupboard and when I touched the outside and it was cold..... I just went a different route.  I, also love getting the free things.  Sometimes the dealers are out of the free gifts, or claim they never got them at all. I almost always qualify for spending the money.  My Christmas tree looks like a Coke and Harley tree.  LOL, LOL.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
