Starter Clutch
« on: May 26, 2018, 05:25:58 PM »

I've been having intermittent hot/warm starts and I've been told by my dealer it's likely the starter clutch. My question is, should I go with an OEM HD replacement? Or has anybody heard anything of the "All Balls Racing" replacement?

Cheers

Starter removal is easy on your bike.  Once off changing the clutch isn't a tremendous task.  Have used the All Balls drives on the earlier model starters several times.  Always held up fine.

Here's what you need. This is hands down the best starter clutch available.
Zen PN # 222-52022 Made in Brazil, won't break the bank, you'll need to buy the 2 bearings that go on each end also. I find they outlast any other starter clutch in the business. I use them on standard, and big inch/big compression engines.  :2vrolijk_21:
