Over sixteen months ago there was a discussion started by JC regarding the 2016 West Coast Gathering.  At the time there were a number of locations being bantered about – Cody, WY, Sturgis, SD, Garberville, CA, Victoria, BC, Canada not to mention others.  Much like the 2016 Presidential Election, it appeared to be way too early to consider candidates much less a location.   A poll was put into place and the voting began!  The winner – The Redwoods!

With the winner chosen it was now time for me to determine if I could attend the gathering.  Can I get the time off from work?  Will I have the funds to make the trip?  Should I ship the bike over to the West Coast?  Questions, Questions, Questions!  And later into the process came an unexpected one, my son announced that he was getting married in May!  SHAZAM!  Fortunately for me he choose a date early into the month and this opened up the opportunity.

Of course there were other questions but it became quite clear!  This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to become a…

Before I knew it sixteen months became 15-14-13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1!  ROLL OFF!  It was time to roll off and become a part of the original Redwood Charter.

My starting point would be on the East Coast in a tiny little Southern beach town…

This quite little town is “Charming”…

While the shade trees are not the size of the Redwoods they do the job here…

Instead we have the Southern Front Porch columns for size…

This “Charming” little location can produce some nice eatin’ size catfish for the krewe

But now it’s time to head west and become a …

Sun and holidays shooting. http://www.rockstorephotos.com/      I've been in touch with him and he's going to meet us at the Rock Store on Fri. at about 2:00 p.m.  If you're in the area and would like to get some professional shots of your bike/trailer in motion, meet us at the Rock Store around 2 p.m.   Of course anybody else in the area that wants to get in on this photo shoot.....see you there!
