Now some written impressions ...

Norway, is an unbelievable country. Peter Forwood and his wife are Harleytravellers from Australia, who traveld more than one Million miles by their Harley in all countries all over the world. He named Norway as the most impressive contry he has ever visited. I can agree to 100% !

Norway has 3,5 Million people living there. 1 1/2 Million people are living in the three biggest cities. Only 2 Million people are living over a coutry outside these cities and the country has a size like Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. But there are living over 110 Million people ...

All there is big loneliness.

For example our trip along the Jostedalsbreenglacier over the top we had a small street about 80 Miles and there we have seen only three cars during our trip.

It's like unreal. you have to explore by yourself.

Best traveltime is the time between June and September. Up to May and from the beginning of October you will find there a lot of Snow.

We return to there this year again for 2 weeks from the end of June. That's the best time because of the midnightsun. That means sunrise will happen at 3 o'clock and the sunset will happen at 1 o'clock. That means you have light over all the day for 22 hours and you are able to ride for a long time every day :-)))

The people are extrem friendly and all are able to talk with you in english. Unbelievable, but true !!!!

The pics from this trip are resulting from our time in South Norway. We rented our Harley at Harley dealer in Bergen (they picked us up from the airport Bergen). Our ride began in Bergen and we went up to Alesund in the North. We visited Trollstigen, Road to Atlantic, Jostedalsbreenglacier and a lot of Fjords expecially Geirangerfjord. The trip was for a first view on Norway about 5 days.

This year we return to there and do the same with our own bikes and we begin our trip in Kristiansand in South and we travel up to the Lofoten in the North.

If you will get more informations, I will publish them at our homepage www.twincam-tours.de

Have a nice sunday.

Thanks for posting a great ride report/pics Achim.  Glad you're rentals didn't have problems, as it appears that any 'help' would be remote.  What were the daytime temps you experienced during your rides there?  spyder

Hello Spyder.

Indeed, the rentals worked absolutely fine. When we left the Harley Dealer at Bergen, we got a phonenumber from the ceo. He told us, that he is the man in orway for us. If there would be any problems, we should phone him, whenever at day and night. It was very impressive. We can recomment this guy to 1000 per cent.

Day by day we started our trip at 9 a.m. after breakfast and the trip mostly ended between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

All daystrips had around 100 and 150 miles, because we used a lot of time for making pics and movies. But we always do that, I mean traveling slowly on the small roads.

Have a nice day.

Achim

Awesome photos and looks like a very beautiful country.    :2vrolijk_21:     Might need to add Norway to the list of countries I would like to visit.
