Hogdude, I modified your post.  This has been a CRAZY WET year so far in the South.  Ken, wish you a dry next couple days....

..."warm, sunny Florida".... :o ;D ::) :dizzy2: :zroflmao:   Funniest thing I've heard all morning..... :2vrolijk_21:
Haird, Roger that. Weather man stated this morning we had 1.25' inches of rain in PC on Sunday and nearly 5" at Destin. It looks like Ken may get a break after today.

Ken, is that what they mean by head out on the beach.....?   :o ;D

Yeah well... that lasted maybe an hour. Then the NOON MONSOON came in with a vengeance!

Holy crap, I've been caught in downpours before, but this was in a class by itself! Rain was sideways and we were getting pelted so hard that we couldn't even see what direction the gulf was or the parking lot. Everything got soaked!

We made it back to the truck with everything, and drove the short distance to the beach house. Got showered and put the towels in the wash, then had some lunch.

Darn thing blew in, howled for 30 minutes, and blew out just as quickly. It's gorgeous out now. This place is crazy!

I feel your pain, I'm off all week with plans to load up the scoot and go to Maggie Valley area with the wife. I'm still at the house contemplating leaving on Wednesday. What a waste......big plans with no developments. It is what it is, we have to make the best of it.
Good luck!!!!

Here is one of the views from our property in Maggie Valley on Sunday around lunch, 3 hours later it was pouring.

 :nervous:

In the Valley, it can change by the hour.

Nice view Chip, but you should have taken one 3 hours later so we know what it's like when it pours!!!!
We got off the parkway when we stayed there 2 years ago, and had the great downpour too! It was real HELL riding up to our rental at 4400 feet!
