Thanks in advance

Joe anytime you add length to your bike will allow the wind to move you around a little more than normal.

One thing to be careful of is riding close to the yellow line. There is the possibility that, on a two wheel trailer, the right wheel on the trailer could roll off the shoulder and cause you a handling nightmare. Just be aware of your surroundings.

You wll loose about 4 mpg. That is what we loose on our two wheel trailers. On the N-line, which we just sold, it did not affect mileage at all, and we pulled it behind two different bikes.

If you ride two up and take long trips, the extra cargo space is great.

Get one and enjoy :2vrolijk_21:

I would add making a right hand turn uphill from a stop.  That is really the only time that the trailer "tug" on the bike feels uncomfortable.

The Bush-Tec has independent suspension and I have been told that its not effected if one wheel drops, but I have no actual experience. The Bush-Tec looks better to me......but it is what it is and I have the N-Line. Pulled it over 3K last summer out west and never knew it was there. Hit a deer in CO and I know things would have been worse if I had not had the loaded trailer behind me. Plowed right over her!!

This is what my wife came up with. She wanted to do her own deal, since she was buying new, she really didn't need me.
Non CVO but v twin, faster than my 11 FLTRx and a matching trailer with a soft suspension. Now it is her work truck and sports car (she sold her Porsche  Boxter S) and she drives it every day sooo not much I can say bad about the deal...

Still vividly remember when the 05s were coming out.  The reds obviously just floored me.  But I'd never been a fan of green anything.  And the yellows were just so YELLOW.  Couldn't imagine ever liking either one.

Even after first seeing the green bikes they were still green.  Preconceptions weren't beaten down that quickly.  But with a little time it was obvious how good looking they really are.

But the yellows...  Man, first time I saw one in person.  They are bright.  And they are YELLOW.  But all in a good way.  That paint scheme certainly stands out more than any other that's been release.  And it does look amazing.

I have had my American Legends Trailer for 3 years now and have no complaints pulling it, heck I even pulled it twice thru the Dragon. Had to go a little slower but no real problems. I have pulled mine up to speeds of 85 MPH with no swaying going on. Have had to make some pretty quick stops with no real problems and I have had it loaded down with some serious weight. The only thing I have had to get adjusted too was the extra noise like when you go over some railroad tracks and similar stuff. I would post pictures of it but my file is to big and can't figure out how to make it small enough

This is the best looking bike and trailer in my opinion, I have pulled this trailer thru the Tail more than once. Out on the interstates I have had it upto 85mph with no problems. American Legends makes a great trailer they are just a little expensive.

11hd110 has the right idea going on these trailers, buy a plain black one. It looks good behind just about any bike, you save about 3000.00 to 4000.00 in paint and accessories. If I had it all to do over again I believe I would go with the plain black one. They do look nice and get lots of compliments on them when they are painted to match the bike. It's just allot of money to throw away if you trade every 4 or 5 years. Staying with the American Legends trailer even though they are probably no better than the rest.

Does sort of force you to keep the scooter, but if you ride much -can't get a fair price for trade. If I ever start over again, the trailer will be black. Hope to ride the '09 til its an Antique!!!

Side cars are now obsolete from Harley, I guess they want everyone buying a Trike. There are alot of dealers out there that won't help you out if your pulling a trailer and I have been told every reason under the sun why they will not cover a problem under warranty if they can prove you have pulled a trailer. I have even spoke with Harley first hand and they told me it was pulling a trailer exceeded the gross vehicle weight rating. I thought to myself, with the body weight of some of us you exceed the GVWR and then add a passenger. So I figured then if you have a break down you should have your passenger go hide in the weeds someplace while they pick your bike up. Just my worthless opinion

Always wondered about the pipes...must reverberate on the trailer somewhat...maybe too loud?

I told Anne that we should install a 20x20 boat hatch on top of our Bushtec so Brisco could come along and be in the sun like on our boat.

Bill, when Roger (Trapperdog) first bought his Wags trailer for their dogs, they had the same concern about the noise and the exhaust (carbon monoxide).  He conviced Melonie to get in the trailer and he took her for a ride.  No issues and she said she was surprised at how comfortable it was back there.

Now the Wags (or is it Wagz) is the Cadallac of dog trailers and comes with such things as tinted and screened windows, solar operated fan in the roof, etc.   Here's the link.......  http://www.wagstrailers.com/

Painting fiberglass, to do it correctly, you have to take the entire trailer apart, frame off, removed all the lights, lid, trim, bumper, etc.  The labor runs the bill up. :nervous:

So it's icing on the cake when the color of a used trailer matches the bike enough that you don't have to shell out the ducats.

Ya know, sometimes ya wake and just feel like causing trouble...so here goes.
There should be a 1-800 number, something like 1-800-HOG-ABUSE to report such treatment of such fine machines. I would never treat my baby like that, making her drag around a ball and chain, (sorry I am referring to the trailers, nothing else), just to satisfy my need for unnecessary creature comforts. I would go without before I would subject my Rose to such cruel and humiliating torture...its just not right...although I am not married so I guess its a little easier for me to do without. Please be gentle with any rebuttals...thanks!

I understand completely.  I felt the same until I had my first one.  Travelling two or three weeks from home, two up with our riding buddy on his bike (and being able to put one of his bags out of prying eyes) plus taking some tools, it was very handy.  I don't pull one now but wouldn't hesitate to get another one if the need arose.

Here's my American Legend behind my 2013 SE Ultra. Bought it from a guy who pulled it behind a 2010 SE Road Glide. The paint matched perfectly.

I've posted pics of the '94 FXSTC with my first Turbo II so no need to rehash.  Since both the '95 Ultra and '97 Ultra had the red sunglo color in some form, I didn't have to repaint the Genesis.  I can't find any pics of the second Turbo II I had but maybe someday they will turn up.

These are pictures of pictures so the quality ain't the best in the world...here's the '95 sans Genesis

And the '97 with the Genesis.  Of the three I've had, that Genesis was a peach of a trailer and really looked good behind both of the Ultras.

This is my second Bushtec.  Got it color matched to my '07 CUSE2.  Here are some shots while being manufactured at Bushtec.

Andrew Preston used my trailer in one of the Bushtec brochures.  Here it is in the photo shoot.

Oh happy day - we picked it up in April, 2007.

Close up shots.

It sill looks as good and pulls as good today as when we got it.  And it matches my '12 CUSE7 pretty well.  I know, I know they are not exactly the same - the '07 and the Bushtec are black & orange while the '12 is orange & black but it still looks good, lol.   :2vrolijk_21:

I have a 2012 Ultra and am inquiring about the wiring of the trailer. I have a 2006 Roadstar I bought along with the version 2 hitch (I removed the bumper so it is essentially like your CVO fender) and have been hearing that the wiring for the rear lights is located in the side panel and not on top of the battery as previous models.
Do you have any photos (or can you post some) of how you ran and hooked up your wiring including the isolator? The instruction from Bushtec (even the new ones) are terrible!!   Any help would certainly be appreciated!!!!

Good looking wheels on that Genesis.  Goes well with the bike.

Pretty darn gnarly!

Here was mine from back in 2008 or so.  It took 1st place at a local festival for best overall bike in show.  I totalled the bike when I hit a deer, but I wasn't pulling a trailer at the time.  The trailer's Cobalt Blue so it will work well enough with the new RGU Abyss Blue until we can do something different!

Love the Turbo +2 and they're big enough to hold just about anything.  Crawled in mine once, during a hail storm at the Bridgeport Jamboree years ago.

Here in Europe, it will still be a dream or you have to spend a real lot of money,
e.g. in switzerland the tests & permissions would cost you around 50000$  :o

but you have to have dreams!!!!!!

I ordered a Bushtec hitch and harness for the '07 Turbo +2 (installation was another story, see separate post).  When I picked the trailer up at the factory in March '07, it was color-matched to my old '07 EG Ultra Classic, which was cobalt blue.  I was hoping it wouldn't match poorly with the Crushed Sapphire on the '15, but the two colors look very similar, as you can see.  You have to be standing right there in good light to see the shading and fleck differences, and they're minimal, so I'm really happy with the outcome.  Got a lot of miles on that Bushtec and just love it!
