If it does go again the main reason would highly be the automatic primary chain tensioner over tightening the chain that will put a constant overload on the inner primary case bearing resulting in bearing+race failure.
It wouldn't hurt to change/ upgrade the tensioner to prevent the bearing failure recurring.

I have a brand new Hayden M6 on the bench. I've held of installing incase it craps out again. Hate to waste 4 more years of ESP. Trust me its been considered.
