Here is my question.  When I plug the Apple iPhone into the USB in the side pouch of my 2016 HD CVO Roadglide Ultra it doesn't charge.  Is this correct or do I have something I'm missing?
Any help will be appreciated.

My 2016 CVO Street Glide also does not charge when using the USB, I use a lighter adaptor plugged in the 12 volt outlet on the right lower side of the fairing and then blue tooth my phone to radio, the phone will last most of the day riding streaming Pandora, but will have to plug in to charge on the ride home.

I too had that problem on my ‘17. Finally determined that the charging port on my iPhone 6 was worn from use and not making a good tight connection. It finally became finicky enough that I had it replaced and it works fine now on the fairing usb connection.

After reading a few things about this, I was concerned.  Went home to try it.  Phone Charges and all music plays simultaneously.   I've got a phone cradle and will basically control everything through my phone (including using WAZE).   Digital stations (iHeart Radio) vs FM etc.    The new frontier lol.

My experience in the past is cheap USB cables.  Try different a one.

Different power cable and now it charges!

 I got same bike, I just checked and mine charges when plugged in to USB. iphone7 … probly need a different adapter cord

May be something wrong with your connection 'cause my '15 did charge my iphone when the bike and/or power was on and when I used the iphone.  However, I moved away from using the phone and went to a 32 gig thumb drive with all my music.  Much easier to use and no charging worries.

My 15 charges my Samsung S9+ and did the Iphone I formerly had.

Changed my cable and charges fine now

Thanks to all of you that responded.
I have cleaned the contacts and now make sure
that I push all the way in to ensure a good contact.
It now charges and works flawlessly.
