Battery charger/Smart charger

Any opinions on what brands or type of chargers to get.
I will be using it on a 2008 110 Road King. Also what about
a electrical pigtail to make it easy for charging. Thanks
for the help. TDW

Everyone I know uses "battery tenders" various models
why mess with success?

I have 4 units......not one has failed.........

Have had great luck with the Battery Tender, and it comes with the pigtail.  You can also buy a pigtail at your friendly Harley shop.  You definitely want the "smart" type of charger so you don't have to worry about over charging.  I leave mine connected all winter and haven't had any battery related problems for as long as I've been using one.

I have an HD (made by Battery Tender) and a Battery Tender brand, battery tenders.  I leave the bikes plugged in 24/7/365, when they're not on the road.  I had the original battery in my 02 Ultra when I traded it in on SEUC...5 years old and it cranked almost like new.  Kept that one plugged in 24/7/365 also.   Battery tender definitely the best way to go, but definitely get a smart tender.

I have the bike, tractor, lawn tractor and snow blower all connected to Battery Tenders 24/7/365.  A batteries best friend!

I have the H-D model made by Battery Tender (Battery Tender Plus) that I've been using on current bike since day one (stock battery just turned 4 yrs old). Very happy with it and wouldn't own a motorcycle and not have one. Keep it hooked up all the time when the bike is parked and put away at home.

What are the battery tender connection options for the touring bikes (SEUC specifically)?  I've seen the 'harness' that you can attach to the battery in the accessories catalog, but I was wondering if the cigarette lighter receptacle was also a possibility.

You could go with a cigarette plug adapter but you would have to purchase separately.The beauty of the pig tail wired diectly to the battery is you can use if for heated clothing or whatever else. The tender comes with the pigtail that is a direct connect and also one with alligator clips for temporary use. THE MUFFMAN

Got several Battery Tender Plus models, the only way to go. Keeps the bike battery always ready to go. Use one on my mom's car, sits for months at a time before it's started, and the car takes right off every time. Good product and the pigtail makes connecting easy......

Just make certain the item you are powering is a low amperage unit.  The H-D accessory pig tail I have has a 7 amp fuse built in, which I found when I hooked up a 10 amp charger after my trunk light killed the battery a few years back.

Battery Tender smart unit.  Make sure shop on line for lowest pricess.  I got mine for under $30 shipped.
