Hey has anyone installed a "hidden" radar/jammer system? This kit looks promising, but I am not sure about setting up a speaker that would either integrate through the SEEG stereo speakers or have some external speaker such as the H-D kit has for their Escort system.

I like the discreet mounting of the Stealth Hog system underneath the headlight but I just don't like the idea of a handlebar mounted receiver unit. My thought is this: If I get stopped and there is an obvious radar unit visible I am 100% guaranteed to get a ticket. I have been fortunate the few times I've been pulled over on the bike to not get a ticket. I am trying to figure out a system where it would be discreet as possible without a bunch of obvious hardware hanging off the bike.

K-40 has the most discreet one, IMO.  It's pictured on this Site somewhere, on my Ol' Maudie.  Pretty neat.  Later--HUBBARD

I would like to find out more info also. Anyone with real world experience?? The jammers a couple of years age did work well or at all. A secret weapon would be really cool even though I have never been stopped on my bike.( nock on wood)

                     speaker is mounted behind the speaker grill but not the stereo speaker
                                       works about half as far as the K40 in my truck   ...   but still gives a good warning ahead

No just going through the oldies and remembered giving up on this one. Now there are so many new members and hoped one of them might have something new.

K40 used to have one for a motorcycle with the indicator lights in the mirror.

Is the one you have for a car or bike....and

                            well   ...   look at each side of the speedo/tach pod   ...   you will see on the inside of the fairing what looks like two extra screws   ...   
                 they light up blue   ...    you can get any color you want   ...   the "highway/city" mode switch and volume control is mounted inside one
                  of the "gloveboxes"
                            I did not use the rear shooter   ...   no where to hide it

Has anyone tried the Escort ZR4 Laser Shifter?  If Escort makes it, it probably works. It is an active Jammer.

I have never heard anything too good about the Rocky Mountain Radar stuff, especially the passive jammers  but I have never owned any of their products.  Just reading this website would make me very cautious about their products.               http://matt.simerson.net/reference/radar-scam.shtml

Well think about it folks...they make an item worth maybe $20 and sell it to you for $300!

If they send you back $100 after you get a ticket, they are still ahead of the game by $180!

There's not a lot of remote mounted radar detectors out there that would work on a motorcycle (ie. weather proof). I've been considering the K40 model 1000 "hidden" detector. It's the simplest (& cheapest) in the K40 stable & only detects radar from the front.  After reading about laser jammers & rear detection, I think they'd be a waste of money.
