Passing lights on 13 road king
« on: June 18, 2013, 05:45:25 PM »

Has anyone added passing lights to 13 cvo road king?  I would love to see some pictures.  What part numbers did you use?

I did, but can't tell you about part numbers as I just asked for adding passing when ordering the bike.
Next step will be mirrors with turning lights.

They seem to be standard. One more picture, all I have at present time...

Here's mine...

I also relocated the turn signals and went with the P7 LEDs - LOVE them. I also ordered the Aux light bypass which allows the passing lights to remain on with the high beam, but the dealer is saying it is not compatible with the 13 CVO.

I never got a straight answer. I'm thinking perhaps it's a liability issue and they simply didn't want to install it - Even though they quoted 1.5 hours to install a $26 harness. It doesn't seem like a big deal, especially as the LEDs draw much less.

Once again a dealership is FOS.  The Harley catalog lists the harness that works with the RK, and the fitment includes the 2013 CVO RK.  It's a damned shame the dealership folks can't even read a catalog and comprehend what it says.

I see you've got different lights than mine, main front light included, can this explain ?
Have you changed them or are those delivered with USA Kings different ?

Calmseas has the Trucklite phase 7 headlight and passing lamps.   They are LED and work really well.  :2vrolijk_21:

They look very good !
Can someone provide a link or part numbers ?
What I've found on Ebay is stated as 'not compatible' with FLHRSE5

Thanks guys.  I like the looks of both of the them.  Calmseasquest did you use the lights from a cvo road glide or ultra.  What are the part numbers?

They are aftermarket.  Made for kuryakin.  I have that headlight on my sesg3.  I got mine from a company in California.    Google it. You will find several dealers.

Pulled the trigger on the passing lights.  I used HD lights out of the catalogue.  I left the handlebar blinkers for safety reasons.

There are other options.  Don't have to stay with the large bulbous passing lamps on a Road King.

Agreed - I switched dealers and am having it done this week (along with the 1K service and dyno/tune.)

It's a mustang seat.  The Harley seat was to low and forward for me. I have a 33 inseam.  I love the leg room now.

I also had my dealer install the bypass - 1 hour of labor. Works great.

All LEDs lit, including the CD Dynamic Ringz
