Yep, been reading up on the process for a while now. The small gauges will get the blue LEDs and the speedo and tach will be replaced by blue LED Dakota Digital ones. As for the HK, never planned on keeping it either.

You might want to rethink this one if you have. and want to use CB and intercom. No replacement unit has these functions. FYI

I use a wireless intercom by Scala and I think J&M also makes one.  CB's must be old technology, it's hard to even find truck drivers that'll talk.

I agree with the OP, more advantages to a new head unit than disadvantages.

Agreed on the CB, Breaker 1  9, breaker 1  9. LOL However when riding in a group, if the lead bike has a CB and the tail bike has one, we tune to a non used channel (most of them are  ;)) and the tail can alert the leader of clear lanes, riders in the middle with problems or needed pee break.

Fortunately for us 2013 SERK owners, we can change the colors by using the settings menu within the dash via the info button and ignition switch.  I'm surprised that they didn't provide a similar option for the touring bikes with fairings.

Its a nice one, but thats why.....you only got one!
