I purchased a Griots 6" buffer and the 3.5" set up.

Spent today learning on the scoots in the garage using the 3.5" setup and Honda Glare

Scoots look 1000% better, but I need some of the spider as the 04SEEG has some scratches still in it

Doesnt anyone here use the Cyclo VES buffer? Saw it on one of those car shows and all they could do was rave about it.

When we were filming fishing shows a few years ago we were taught to always say the model of whatever sponsored product we were using. Even if the product was a piece of chit or not, we pushed it.......they were paying the bills.

I purchased the Griots because of the lifetime warranty......which is only as good as the paper it is written on but still made me feel a little more comfortable about purchasing their product.

Used the Griot's 3" buffer last night along with Glare Spyder & Polish.  It was fast, easy & bike looks great!!! But....  How do you get the Glare polish out of the buffer pad???  The red pad with the Spyder on is pretty clean with just water but the polish doesn't seam to be coming out.  Suggestions??

Run warm water over the pad and just keep squeezing it from one side of the pad to the other...it'll come out...or most all of it.

If you are going to only use that pad for the polish.....does it need to be cleaned?

Why not just store it in a zip lock till next use?

That would probably work too.   :2vrolijk_21:

The more polish residual left on the pad (foam or wool) the less effective the pad becomes. Keeping it clean, even with a brush, goes a long way in increasing the pads effectiveness.

Warranty is important for sure but as far as buffers go I haven't burned too many out as I still have one from my early days in the body shop. Maybe with all the cheap Taiwan stuff these days it makes it harder to find quality buffers don't know as I haven't bought one in a while.

I was really interested in the results from someone that has tried the "Cyclo VES". This thing has got my attention with its dual orbiting heads. I don't know of anyone that makes one like this and it seems to be a great idea. Kind of pricey but if its what I read it might be my new best friend when cleaning. I now have two black cars so I have multiple interests here.

Probably be great for a car, boat, etc, with large surfaces to do.  The nice thing about the Griot 3" is that it is small enough to do a bike with.

Your probably right, I thought the 4" pads would be small enough for the bike but I guess to utilize the dual pads that gets close to an 8" spread just like a standard buffer.

Still if anyone has tried one of these let me know what you think of it.
