Yeah probably just a day or so, then to see some friends in Clermont and then either off to Key West or Naples (or both)  to visit the in-laws for a couple days, then up to Tampa for meetings.  Should be exciting, I'm figuring maybe 6 turns total once I'm in FL. [smiley=laugh.gif]

Hmm, might be different then, mine goes away under throttle.  Haven't heard from them over the weekend,  gotta call today and see where they are with it.

Well I finally got the bike back today, they said the high tech fancy "special tools" didn' t help and it ended up being the compensator nut loose, we'll see.  I think I can still hear it slightly, but I'm gonna run the piss out of it for a while and see what happens, if it blows I got it on file that there was a problem.  I'm ridin it down to Biketoberfest in a couple weeks, 1000 miles on the interstate (each way) at 100+mph should work the bugs out of it.   [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

They did have the mech add a shim in there also, maybe that will help it keep it's torque.  Guess I need to go get a look at this whole compensator thing in the manual so I understand it better.

That is a REAL common problem & it sounds exactly like a motor knock.

The shim fix works quite well.

That's the surprising about this particular case.  It is a common problem.  So why did they have so much trouble diagnosing it and have to wait so many days for some "special tool?"
