Zumo Wiring and the UK Headlight
« on: May 28, 2010, 06:37:44 AM »

I'm in the process of wiring a Zumo 660 to my '10 Ultra. The wires that a lot of people use (black and orange/white near the headlight) are in use - they're attached to the headlight along with the main connector. The back of the headlight looks nothing like the service manual picture so I suspect that this is a UK thing! I'm going to use the back of the cigar lighter plug for the Zumo - does anyone know if I'm safe wiring it so the plug can still be used, or should I separate the wires from the plug?
Any British (or European) owners - have you found a way to detach the extra wires to the headlight - they appear to be hard wired and as a result I can't completely remove the outer fairing.
