not a chopper guy, I dont understand them.  I watched thier show a couple of times...as well as the Custom Car builder guys show... common thread.  Not enough time to build quality...

I would cringe thinking someone paid over $60 K for a bike thrown together and having so many fit and finish issues... then producing a bike that yeah looked neat... but could you actually ride it? 

Except for the paint, most of thier bikes are just parts thrown together with a trick gas cap... no new change in design nothing that is bleeding edge... it reminds me of the old Heath Kit radios... a box of parts that makes something

I call these 'Fernando' bikes.  Remember the Billy Crystal character on Saturday Night Live named Fernando?  One of his sayings is that "it is better to look good than to feel good."  That just about describes anything that OCC has built.

I say....Sr. don' give chit.......after all, look where it's got'm......they could not sell nother bike EVER, and I don't think it would pinch they're bank acct at all......I think the lawsuit's all publicity, but really don' follow it

I am not certain about any great financial outcome at this time. The new building cost them a lot of money, and I wonder who is going to show up there to buy anything. This and the cost for staff as well as investments into the production of their "regular" models cost a lot. And who has seen anyone riding one of these? Tiny numbers altogether. Just my 2 cents.

I almost never wish ill on any small business.  It takes major cajones to open the door and walk in every morning.  But not these guys.  Won't worry at all over the shop's demise.  Bad business underwritten by television and celebrity, bikes I'd often be afraid to ride and a customer base that had to be all too often people only after status trailer queens.  They can all fade away without being missed.

I think Jr. should sell and run like h-ll. Be cool to see him and Vinnie get together and actually build an actual rideable line for the next generation and watch his old man and his ass kissing shop cronies flounder..Maybe even steal Rick who seems to be 90% of the fabrication of OCC or shall we call it "The Firm" these days. Sorry to harp but I can't stand that old SOB, he just turns my stomach..

American Chopper was cancedlled.

It's been a long time coming, but celebrity gossip site TMZ reports that American Chopper has finally been canceled. A spokesperson for TLC, which picked the show up after its first few years on The Discovery Channel, said, "The Teutuls will always be a part of the Discovery family and we congratulate them on a tremendously successful series run." The final episode will air February 11 at 9:00 PM.

It wasn't tough to see this one coming from a mile away. The hit show has seemingly been just a shell of its former self since two of the original Teutul trio have stopped speaking to their father and disappeared completely from the Orange County Choppers shop.

Recall also that Paul Teutul filed a lawsuit against Paul Teutul Jr. for over a million dollars a couple of months ago and it's easy to see that things have been going south for quite some time. Finally, now that the crew has built customs that run on everything from gasoline to ethanol, diesel, compressed natural gas, electricity and even a hybrid, there just don't seem to be any more alternative fuels left to conquer.

Money....or the lack thereof, is the root of all evil.  This mountain was sure to crumble.  Sad to see, I liked some of the shop guys, and Mikey....but the old man and Paulie were just too much to stomach.
