« on: May 09, 2010, 08:06:27 PM »

Bought a center stand from RIVCO Products at the Leesburg Fla Bike fest, everything was find, until I went to replace the rear pegs with the Harley adjustable floor boards, don't fit, plan on calling them in am for suggestions.... any one else have dealt with this?

Also I put the Harley Center Stand on the 08 Ultra, same type of problem just not as bad ,,,

Was not aware of that problem,  hope you can resolve it.  Meantime,  let us know how ya do in the tight curves.  I've kinda wanted to add a center stand, but I seem to recall some other posts here that suggest the H.D. version and some after-market versions as well..........will (limit) your cornering ability and drag the ground. :nervous:

I have a HD center stand on order for my 2010 CVO Street Glide.  I have to have one due to space limitations in my garage for parking.  Have one on my current 02 Ultra Classic (trading it in morning for the CVO) - it is an older model that mounts up front where an oil cooler now mounts.  It does drag/scrape before the board does on the front mount one but has never been an "issue" for me.  Just have to remember that it will drag first so it doesnt freak you out.  I plan to eventually add the passenger boards to replace the pegs, I hope it's not a problem with the HD stand, that would suck.

It's not comparable due to the frame changes in '09, but I have rear boards on my SEEG from the factory and I added the RIVCO center stand several years ago with no problem whatsoever.  It also doesn't drag; the rider boards definitely hit well before the stand would.  Perhaps you need to give the folks at RIVCO a call and see what they have to say?

IMHO, a center stand is one of the better additions a person can make to these bikes.  Beats the heck out of dragging out a motorcycle jack every time you want to clean the wheels, check the belt tension, get the bike upright, etc.

not familiar with the rivco but put a eze up on last ultra and loved it planning on putting one on my SESG. You could actually put it on stand while sitting on bike.
