I made a shelf that is hinged to the front of the garage. Holds 2 tourpaks, backrests and other assorted stuff.

Thank you for all the suggestions for tour pak storage.  I ended up spending about $12 on some steel rods and lag bolts at Home Depot and utilizing some left over lumber I had at home and building one that works perfectly for me.

What's removal like with it mounted that way?  First guess without ever having taken one down that way is that releasing the locks and allowing it all to come down on top of you might be awkward.  Does it work ok?  Wonder if a big(ger) King Tour Pak would still be manageable?

I don't find it awkward at all to get it on and off the rack the few times I have done it so far.  I only plan to take it down and use it a few times each year so won't be a big deal to me if it's a little awkward (so far it's not).

Not sure about doin the same with a bigger Tour Pak.  Another member posted pics on this same thread of a similar one he made at home but sits the Pak flat.  I didn't have room in my garage for a flat mount and had to put it up high to avoid being in the way of some cabinets.

Flat ones were probably mine.  Also some scrap lumber and steel rod.  That's what made me wonder actually.

When did mine originally had thought of mounting them as yours are.  Just to save the space.  Was worried the king pak would get awkward falling straight back though.  So just made them where they'll raise straight up and gravity combined with potentially clumsy feet won't work against me.
