Yeah, 'er 'uh, tunedse2,
I can't speak intelligently on that particular subject.  However, OTIS can resolve that matter for you.  Later--HUBBARD

I use brake parts cleaner.  Most all auto supply stores carry it in a spray can.

S100 is for rich bikers. I only use Shout detergent spray. Use it on everything, works great on brake dust, oil, and even bugs. And you can buy it in bulk for about the same as a spray bottle of S100.

I have a complaint with the  responses to this question...   The reason being:  I have that stupid ass dirt stripe between the engine and tranny cases.  I have tried:
S100
S100 detailer
Brake cleaner, both spray and fluid
Dawn dish soap, (with the obligatory tootbrush and elbow grease)
turpentine
AND paint thinner, quickly on a rag so as not to remove or damage the powder coating...
AND IT IS STILL THERE!!!!
doesn''t anybody have a magic answer for me!!!!?????
To make things worse, I just put true duals on the bike, so now it REALLY shows up...   dammit! [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Well ain't you got a heckofa wreck, Breeze.  The only thing you haven't mentioned that has worked for me is mineral spirits.  Unlike paint thinner or turpentine, you can let it soak for a few minutes and then take a toothbrush to it. PS:  don't use Simple Green and let it stand.  Done that on black powder coat and can attest that it's a perfect finish remover.

Cover the spot with that damned ghillie hat.  Won't fix the spot but it'll freak people out.

Yeah, 'er 'uh, tunedse2,
I don't know if it'll work on your Bike, but I just ordered the new Kuryakyn Rear Cylinder Base Cover from J&P.  In their New Book, Page 518, part #971-300.  $39.99.  Their phone # is 1-800-397-4844, if you want to call.  If it will work, the stain will be "covered in chrome!"    Later--HUBBARD
