Title: Bit the Bullet...Bought 2015 CVO Limited in Gold Rush
Post by: panz on March 25, 2015, 02:29:10 PM
:drummer: OK, now that I traded my 2013 CVO Ultra for a 2015 CVO Limited give me all the negatives I should be concerned with...what should I look at or have done before I take delivery Monday the 30th, other then look it over paint wise etc. I heard they can program to keep running lights on when you put your brights on...stuff like that.

Firstly, congratulations!    :huepfenjump3:

You are correct about the running lights.  Also make them update the Infotainment to the latest software, 1.18.3.  There may be some still leaking coolant so that would be good to check.

Lastly, check the tire pressure.  When the dealer asked me to test drive my 15, I insisted the air pressure be checked. Turned out both tires were 10 pounds low!    :nervous:

Greg....thanks, wrote your suggestions down to have done prior to delivery. I thought the coolant issue was taken care of.

Congrats!  Only 2 miles on mine and haven't even ridden it yet. I'm sure you will enjoy it. We keep reading about the challenges with quality control and issues from other people and sites. There's still plenty that never have a problem and only wrenched in for maintenance. I'm hoping that that is the case.

In most forums you hear a lot about the problems and issues but rarely hear people speaking about their good experiences. The people with issues vent and the ones with no problems are quiet.

Regards,
Jason

Congratulations mate, I have one the same colour, 13,500 kms on her now and no trouble except shift indicator which they
fixed, agree also check the air in the rear shocks, mine had zero and I rode it 300 kms before thinking to check, you just presume
they have air until you hit something decent, enjoy.

Congrats!  Have them change the air to nitrogen in the tires.  I ran low on air pressure twice on my 14.  I haven't had an issue since the change to nitrogen in Nov.  I checked it before I took it out for the start of the season 2 weeks ago.  I haven't lost a pound while it sat all winter... Enjoy!
