Do you mean tools to check vehicle alignment (rear wheel in swing arm, motor in frame, front & rear wheel alignment) or something more complicated like neck/frame straightness, backbone trueness, etc,? I made my own tools to check the former as the service manual suggests out of aluminum rod for the swing arm and a stringline to check front/rear tire alignment.

It's this kit for the old frames and first gen Twin Cams.  A long time ago (11 or 12 years ago :nixweiss: ) a group of us collectively bought this kit just to pass it around among the brethren here as needed.  The idea worked really well too.  Tool got used a lot.  For awhile I was mailing the thing out to people every couple months.

As those bikes faded in to majesty memory the tool got used less and less of course.  Even as late as a couple-ish years ago I'd still send the thing out a couple times a year.  Then a bad thing happened.

Some dipstick asked to use the tool then went MIA.  No more tool.  I tried reaching via the shipping address and never got a response.  Registered mail came back.  Ghosted here on the site too.  It's unfortunate this happened but a lot of people got to use the tool kit for a long time so (at least to me) it was still worth doing.

I've never seen or heard of a kit like this.  Exactly what does it align?  Is it mentioned in the service manual for a 2000 RG?

It worked on the Evo and Twin Cam touring frames up through 2008.  So the old or newer swingarm.  It aligns the swingarm within the frame longitudinally with the drivetrain.

Whenever the service manual mentions "aligning the frame" or aligning the engine this is what it is referring to.
