Yep, old lesson but no harm to hear again. Mental note: Bike is extra hard to pick up off of kickstand when leaning downhill loaded with BSR and half of our house onboard. While packing for Thunder Beach, BSR came to garage dragging duffle type bag, said just strap it onto tourpack. I said if you can't carry it I'm NOT putting it on the tourpack. OK it ended up in saddlebags but at least I wasn't too top heavy.  :nixweiss:

I think a lot of us over-load our saddlebags.  I know I do.. :-[..have had to replace two broken support brackets on my left saddlebag.  Dang things are expensive too.  :'(  spyder

I would like to use a trailer, but got no permission
here in switzerland. My BSR has her VROD, so
for travel the luggage is on my backseat not on
the TP. If we stay at some place for more than
one night, the next day she can choose to ride
by herself or as BSR.

-) prepack is necessary
-) doing a lot of trips---> leads to experience for the BSR as well
-) maybe use a list and leave the rest at home
