Finally got my new 2009 SERG ready to roll in 2015. Wanted to share some photos of the progress. Many thanks to Jim (hd-dude), Steve at GMR, John at Freedom Shields and last but not least, JoeZ at XtremeDimension!

My scowl to go with the growl
-
Freedom Shield and Kuryakyn windshield trim
-
Carry over from my SEEG, horn cover and shift linkage
-
12". Wild1 Outlawz, very comfortable
-
V&H power duals, Kuryakyn crusher mellows, GMR 577 cams and lifters. 25% increase in hp and torque with lots of legs! Also, Baker Street door to eliminate trap door flex.

Nice job Pete :2vrolijk_21:

Pete, That's a Great looking scoot. Looks like a very nice list of improvements. I'm give the V&H Power Duals w Crushers a try on Lexi. Had to put on a new style oil pan to get it on. Time will tell, she's still on the lift.

Thanks Jeff.
I highly recommend this pipe combo. The crusher mellows have a nice sound, but they are also high quality, stainless cores, screens and wire mesh packing. Nothing to rust out or degrade over time. I got the new slant tip and what is unique about them is the plastic inner boot that creates a transition between the muffler core and exhaust tip. Any moisture created when pipes are heating up just rolls out on the ground and therefore doesn't collect in the tip. The chrome on my stock tips were pitted from the combo of exhaust gas and moisture collecting there. No problem with this design. Photo attached

Looks Great!
I may be bias, but the 2009 SE Road Glides are one of the best looking motorcycles that Harley produced in every color!

Thanks Stu! Not sure whether it looks like a shark or an eagle, but either way is OK.
I bought the black/chrome daymaker LEDs before deciding on giving the Scoowl a try. Didn't want to lose the blacked out look by painting all orange to match the fairing or all black to match the lights, so Joe said lets do a two tone!

Awesome pete. You're gonna love the RG!

:2vrolijk_21: Best looking color combo for any SERG yet.

I agree! Great looking ride Pete. The old bike would approve.

I really like the looks of the pipes. I went with the same tip also. Any suspension changes? I put the new Bitubo's on Ruby (02 SERK) towards the end of last season. Very nice. These are the non-canister style. Work every bit as good as the canister Bitubo's on the SESG. Cost a lot less, work as well - that's a win.

I do Ken! Way to easy to go too fast on this bike!

Yes, upgraded front suspension with monotubes and put Suspension Tech shocks on the rear (salvaged these off the SEEG). I'm very happy with this combo.

Pete - your '09 SERG is just BEAUTIFUL! That model and color combo is one of my favorite CVO ever... certainly my favorite SERG. Something about it that just hits me.
Before I bought Honey Badger, I had been looking for one just like yours, but I couldn't find one in the area. I had missed one at Cartersville H-D by two days.
Great job! Congrats!

While most RG don't do anything for me, I really like the 09 line-up graphics. Seems to flow with the lines of the bike better than some other schemes. Then again TN says SG are girl's bikes. Can't wait to ride with you again this year!

Thanks Ken. You better show up for some GTGs this year. Missed ya!

That is a very valid point. Of course you have to pry it out of TN as he's the quiet type.

This is one of the nicest colors I have seen on the Road Glide. It is the color that got me lookin at the Road Glide to begin with.

Hey Pete looks great my friend. i've been wondering about bars for mine as well. I put the Helig adjustable bars on mine and they worked good. But then put the drop seat kit that moves me down 2" and back 2" now I need to reach just enough to hurt my neck some on long rides and I really can't adjust them back anymore. Not sure what to do at this point. We are about the same height and maybe you have some input?

Lew,
Sounds like you need more pullback and less rise due to the drop seat. The Wild1 Outlawz wouldn't work for you, but perhaps their other road glide bars would. Not sure about other brands. I would try to mock up what dimensions you need to be comfortable and then see what is available in the market. Would also try calling the Helibar folks and see if they can make a suggestion using your existing bars with the dimensions you need.
