Glad to hear of your safe recovery, so many others are not as fortunate.  

I hear ya regarding a helmet...I myself had an accident with a dog, like you at 35mph...face first in the street, 37 sitches later with a broken arm and leg and almost dead at one point...a helmet was not on...

At this point, I still do not ride with a helmet whent the opportunity arrises...however I think about how crazy it is at times...

In the end, my thoughts are when my time ends, it will end...I can not change that...it is in GOD's hands.

I trust you have a GOD speed recovery and I will be praying for you.

Maybe something good comes out of something bad.... I'll be wearing my skid lid thinking of your pics. Thanks for the post ... it's a good demo of the bad that can happen... we're not bullet proof and you helped me remember that. Hope things are getting better for you & your wife.

Man that makes me hurt just lookin at you two. Things will get better, really.  6 years ago I hit a deer, I rode the bike from that one ( got the doe too, yummy ). 8 years ago I went in the back window of a car that pulled out, then the driver took off and he slid me out and off the car onto the pavment ( a 2 hitter )( I found him in about 3 weeks, he fell down, OOPS   ) .
