OK, 1 more.

My eyes must be getting old, didn't see the saddlebag spoilers.

I haven't installed those yet. I want extra LED's on the rear, and I want to make sure that is the look that I want so I am stalling with the installation.

Guilty,

Very nice CVO.....I too ordered the 517's, for my B/O CVO, but curious  how you handled the cable extensions needed for the new bars to extend them to the  ABS control module?  Local HD store says OEM will have a fix to extend the cables in 2-3 months.  You have obviously solved this problem.  How did you do it?

Thanks,

Wild1 states that you don't need to replace the cables with the WO517's for use on the Road Glide. I had a local dealership do the handlebar install just in case there was problems with the length of the cables. When the service dept. was doing the install they said that they needed to replace the cables. I gave them the go-ahead to replace both cables (brake and clutch) so they would match. I think that they had problems getting ahold of the cables because about 1 week later they called and said my bike was ready. When I went to pay, I brought to their attention that they didn't charge me for the cables. The service rep. told me that they took another look at the clutch cable and were able to re-route it and they didn't have to replace either of the cables. I don't they had a easy time re-routing the cables but they got it done properly.

Guilty, Your bike looks great !  Do the new handlebars put you in a more comfortable position than the stock ones ?      Barry

Very, Very, Very Nice!  And getting nicer everytime you add a personal touch.  It is what it is, man........a work in progress.  Never ends.  That is what is so wonderful about these machines.  They serve their purpose well.  Enjoy.  You're doing a great job!

MIKEYTEE, blw and HML, thank you for the compliments.
I have heard some riders opinions whose view are that the Wild1 517's are like a wheelbarrel handle and they are not wide enough, that is not my opinion though. The WO517 handlebars make a huge difference in comfort for me and the hand grip position is fine, I have no complaints.
With the stock handlebars my arms were basically stretched out straight which forced me to sit up straight and it was not very comfortable on my back and my fingers would start to go numb after 30 minutes of riding. The Wild1 517's have enough pullback to create a relaxed position for my arms with plenty of bend at my elbows. This positioning allows my body to sit back further and relax my back against the backrest which feels a lot more natural to me.
I have Wild1 518's on my Road King and these handlebars have a lot of pullback too so it was easy for me to get comfortable with the 517's on the Road Glide in just a few minutes.
