Guilty,

Georgous bike!

Where did you get the Rumble Collection passenger floorboard inserts? I can't find a P/N for them and was told they are not yet available for separate purchase.

Thanks

I have on occasion forgot to inflate the shocks when I start out on a ride and I feel every bump in the road magnified x10, but I have not bottomed out. As soon as I realize that the shocks are deflated, I hit the button and inflate the shocks for a much better riding experience. After putting on quite a few miles with the Alden Air Suspension, I find that the shocks perform better with a passenger...more weight = smoother ride.

thanks for the quick reply. just to confirm you have 2009 cvo roadglide with 12" aldan arnot air ride and not the 13" aldan's. reason being, i just had aldan's installed and when i got there to pick up my bike i noticed that when fully delflated it was not as low as i thought it should be. my main purpose was getting me lower as i am inseam challenged. so i questioned the parts guy and was told he orderd 13's and thats not what i asked  for so he tells me that because of the 18" wheels that the bike woud be to low or bottom out on tire when delfalted. i had talked with arnott before going to the dealer and was told the 12's would work. so if you have 12's and are not bottomed out on the tire when deflated then somebody does'nt have the facts straight. i will be headed back to the dealer to have these 13's swapped out for the 12's. thanks for the help,

Robert, I definitely have the 12" size Alden Air Suspension. Your dealer sounds like he is trying to cut his losses by suggesting that they won't work with the SERG.

thanks again, talked with cory at arnott this mourning and the parts guy at harley asked him if he new that the rear wheel was 18" and somehow swayed  cory at arnott into the 13's . i told cory about cvo site and that you had 12's on the same bike as mine with no problem with tire sitting on fender when deflated. cory said no problem 12's are on the way.  do you  have an air gauge? if so where is it located? arnott is saying they have had a problem with several of the gauges and that it creates a place for a leak. they are suggesting running without one and going by the ride rather than pressure guage. they also said they would give me a web site address if i wanted gauge that could be mounted in fairing.

                                                                        thanks robert

That's what I'd do, the gauge is not truly necessary, but I find one useful at times.  spyder

That is interesting that you mention a leak relating to the air gauge, I definitely have a (very) slow leak and I will have to look at the air gauge to see if that is the source. After a ride I let the air out of the shocks because my alarm/siren has went off several times when it was just sitting in the garage and I suspected that enough air escaped to cause some motion on the bike setting the alarm/siren off. When I am riding I don't notice enough air is leaking out to make a difference in the ride though.
Anyhow, as to where I placed the air gauge...look at the first picture on this thread and you will see the air gauge above the starter facing to the left side of the bike. I do find the air gauge useful as I like to know how much air pressure I am running from time to time.

hum, slow leak. so the rest of the story is the 13's that should have been 12's also had a slow leak that i used some soapy water and a small paint brush to find and the leak was found when i put solution around a seam around the top of the shock below where the bolt runs through top  of the shock. the soapy water started blowing bubbles immediately. i really thought the leak would be at one of the connections but it was the bladder inside the shock leaking. good news is arnott has been great through all this and everything has been no problem. i have been dealing with cory and he is more up on the motorcycle shock end things. think i will try shocks with out the air guage for a while and see what happens. thanks guys for the input
