Nope, me neither- I don't like hard lowers- makes things too hot, I'll bet even with the vented ones. I have my soft lowers I snap on and off as needed- Works for me.
Also, I prefer my detachable tour pak over the fixed one- on and off in a minute, and with it and my other mods, my bike is just as capable a tourer as the RG Ultra, but is way more hot rod (and un-geezer glide-ish) when stripped down.

You guys are right... the 09 SERG is a better looking bike.

However, I like all the geeeeezer stuff on a touring bike (CB, Tourpak, footboards, lowers,...).  I really wish they would have put the extended bags and rear fender of the 09 on the 11.  And, looks like the 11 sets a little higher than the 09... I really like the low look of the 09.

So, I'm riding an 08 SEUC right now.  It's a great bike and looks sharp, but it just ain't as sexy as the 11 RG Ultra, IMO.  I have been lusting after a RG for about the past year or so.  I'm leaning hard toward getting the Rio Red 11 SERG Ultra.

I haven't rode a RG much, but everything I hear leads me to beleive that I will like the frame-mounted fairing.

Went by Harley World in OKC this morning.  No 11 CVO's there yet, but got to talking with a salesman there.
I have tried to buy a bike in OKC for years.  This salesman helped me remember why I have not bought in OKC.
I told him that I was going to buy... he was ready to take a deposit on the spot.
I told him to "hold his horses" and ask him how much $$$$$.  He said they get $3K over MSRP for CVO's.
I said, "Well, just wanted to give you a chance... sorry we can't do business".

Nope.  SERGs in 2000 and 2001.  Better looking bikes too (at least in the front).

No Screamin Eagle graphics will ever compare to the 00-01. I guess I'll have to keep waiting.   ;D   Doc

In my opinion MOCO missed the mark 2 years in a row now...The 09 line up will be hard to beat.

The bags, the tail light, the large tour pak.  Cheese and crackers!  The '09 has the lowered suspension, the fairing that flows with the tank, the wheels.  All those features that made the '09 jump out and smack you on the head just aren't there.  IMHO, They've really screwed the pooch.  Does anyone pay attention at the moco?  I can't believe those bags are on an SERG.

Thanks.  I have talked to the guys at Paris in the past.  Great guys and ready to sell at MSRP... they just never have had what I was looking for, when I was looking.

I've got a deal in the works.  Just have to see if we can get the details ironed out.  If we can't, no big deal... I'm in no hurry.

So Greg, when will the header be updated to include the dULTRA SERG?  Or is it the retro SERG.  With those bags they do have a resemblence to the 00-01.  Retro's OkieDokie.

Honestly, we do have to welcome them into the family.

After waiting on the right CVO for me and the right money, when the 09 SERG came out I knew I had to have it. I still feel its one of HDs best to date. I love my bike. The 2011 line up has just made us 09 SERG owners look even better.   Doc

I see everyone's point. I tried to buy a couple of the Silver 09 RG. However, These two bikes are apples and oranges. IMO the 2011's are meant to be a RG TOURING bike. Not a hot rod. I love the ride of the RG and was set to buy one in 09 when they came out with the CVO version but didn't because it didn't come with the trunk, lowers, CB, etc that I have come to love about my Ultra Classic.

Now it is here! All the geezer stuff I like in a RG! I am stoked to say the least. However, I am cautious due to the challenges of the 110 engine. I will be on the fence until I see it in person. That will be the deciding factor for me. I do wish they had installed the same rear end as the 09. That would have been perfect.
