Title: Valve noise from the 08 Springer
Post by: Happnin on April 08, 2008, 07:40:17 AM
All,

Owned an 88b on a hardtail before, but I don't remember that much valve/lifter noise before. Do you guys hear a lot of tapping noise?

Mostly at higher speeds while cruising with no acceleration. I realize it's a Harley and the engine's really close, just checking.

Bike's doing great.

Thanks,

Happ

It could be your exhaust valve spring retainers hitting the sides of your rocker boxes.  That was fairly common on 110 07's.  I don't know if it has been an issue on 08's or not...   :nixweiss:
