I rode in the rain all day yesterday with the ebay vents closed and my boots were dry. I'm glad I did it now although like Twolane says it is sooo hard to cut into the original lowers. Doc

Can someone post the 2010 Sharknose fairing bracket part numbers needed to convert an 09 into a 10 so I can use the newer Ultra Vented Lowers.

    Thanks

never liked lowers on my ultra let alone the RG, I don't feel they do anything except contribute to over heating and getting dirty. But each to his own.  8)

They do help in the cold and the rain. I also will put mine on if I intend to ride big interstate miles on a trip. But otherwise I leave them off, ugly and when it is hot out, they just make it worse. The quick release kit is a big help but even without it the R&I is just not that big of a job.

Unless you bought them, you don't have them.

While I'll admit, adding the fairing lowers gives the Road Glide a more complete look, especially one with a tour-pak, I've owned two RG's and never liked the lowers. Even though I had hard lowers for my 2000 SERG, I'd leave them off and keep a set of the gore-tex slip on rain guards in my saddlebag. They work well and go on and off easily with the biggest advantage being storage out on the road. Can't think of what you'd do with those big solid lowers if you got caught in the desert in 100+ heat and needed to take em off

Just my $0.02
