'16 SERGU battery
« on: October 20, 2017, 04:20:53 PM »

Have had bike since July last year, battery chit bed already, have it on tendery ALL the time. Have it at dealer now to see if there is anything drawing battery. I have done nothing to bike besides full Rinehart exhuast and HD race tuner.

Anyone have same issue with stock HD battery?

Dealer said if it is a bad battery, they will replace under factory warrantee.

Will cost me $2,000 either way as while it was there I am having them install Boom! audio stage II  :P

My original battery took a dump after just over a year. Dealer warrantied but had to test overnight. Dealer wants to give you a battery but they have to document it is bad or defective to get reimbursement from Mother Harley.

My original battery ('04 SEEG build date 6/04)  lasted almost 8 years, replaced it w/another OEM/MoCo battery 2/12... that battery only lasted until 11/15 and was replaced w/a Deka ETX30L Battery. Seems like OEM/MoCo (which are actually branded OEM/MoCo and manufactured by some other company :nixweiss:) aren't lasted as long as they used too. Like you my battery's stay on a tender at all times when not riding.

Back In 07, I must have had my battery replaced under warranty 5 or 6 times while at a dealer messing with those pesky head and base gasket leaks. I finally brought my tender with me and asked them to plug it in as I have had enough new batteries. That ended the battery replacements. ;D
