C'mon.  Quit holding out. What amp are you using?  Trying to find somethig other than the pricey Hawg wired and even the bazooka is a challenge with the room we have in the Roadglide.

The amp is made by elf audio. 2x75. Im going to add another on the other side for the speakers in the TP.  Its plenty loud enough in the shop but I havent had a chance to road test it yet.

On your 660 mount, did you just fabricate the disk to fill the space and then mount a RAM base to it? Any issues with vibration or stress on the fairing after having it in place for 5 months? With the limited space on the handle bars, coming up with a decent mounting location is tough. Yours is a good one, as it puts the GPS in the line of sight with the road. Any regrets, problems, or changes you suggest?

TIA   :drink:

No problems at all. there is a little vibration at idle but it smooths out on the road. I made the disks out of some random plastic electrical boxes i bought at home depot. i painted the outside disk black after the pics and it looks alot better. I used the base screw to sandwich the disks in place and found a 1/2 in. spacer to move the mount out of the gauge opening. just make sure the plastic you use for the disks is plenty thick that will help with vibration. Good luck. I wouldnt do anything different than I did. It came out better than expected.  :2vrolijk_21:

Cool, I found the original post on this mod, and between that and your follow-up input, I'm putting together my parts now.

Can't tell from your pic; is this the ball you used, or... ?

How long is your RAM arm, the 1.75"?

They do come in chrome too... for an additional $25!

Now I just gotta find some durable plastic for the mount. The washer option is quicker & easier as far as fabrication, but not so easy to route the wires, so I think I'll stick with plastic.

Thanks again for your assistance!!

I did find this option as well, to replace the thumbscrew on the RAM Arm... great way to clean it up and get rid of that big ugly black thumbscrew (especially if you get the chrome arm) and make it just a bit more difficult for anyone to tamper with your mount.

thats the mount. it was the smallest arm i could get. the longer the arm the more vibration  :2vrolijk_21:
