Maybe they will be coming out later on like the greenies did. :cucumber: Without the paint problems of course.

They're already out there...the black one was the first one my dealer got in for the SESG's.  I know they're out there.  Surprising no one's taken any pics yet...maybe weather's too nice and they're too busy riding.   :nixweiss: :coolblue:

I saw a Black Diamond bike today and was able to get a couple of pictures... not the best but hopefully they help you a little.  The bike was right next to both a Hot Citrus/Antique Gunstock and a Ruby Red/Typhoon Maroon.  I know it is all personal preference, and these pictures do not do any of the bikes justice, but the Black Diamond paint seemed kind of plain looking compared to the other two.  Don't get me wrong, it is a beautiful bike but it does not jump out as a CVO nearly as much.  Just my opinion...

It is odd that this was the first color released and so few pictures, or even posts from people who bought one.  This is the only thread I recall with pictures...

I think the black SESG3 would have been a perfect candidate for the "blacked-out" treatment.  I'll be that baby would look bad with black power coat instead of chrome parts...JMO...

I would agree except for the granite cases.  I'm having trouble picturing gloss black on top of the silver granite.   :nixweiss:  Might look good.  Now, the white and blue SE road glide customs would look killer with all blacked out parts.  IMO

UGH, that's right, it has the granite engine...It would have to have the black engine for it to look good all blacked out...

Looks really nice.  I love the black.  I see you have the "old style" header system on.  Do you like it better?  Don't see too many with those any more.  :nixweiss:

this is my 3rd set of samson caliber true duals...i have had such good luck with them and im old ! they sound great. i got really good gains from them on the dyno run. its hard to change when i have had such good luck with them and i believe true duals helps get rid of some heat

The black looks very stealth to me.  I like it a lot.  Back to the Samson true duas,  do they make a difference as far as the heat goes?  I would do the same thing if it works.  :2vrolijk_21:

My dealer won't sell Samson headers anymore. To many failures (breaking).

I will never buy another RUSH header either.
The cheap ass bracket that is under the frame in front of the rear tire broke (that I  put on my 2009).
They were also Ceramic Coated and I couldn't tell they drop the heat any at all. In fact the V&Hs Power Duels I put on to replace them was cooler and added more Tq & Hp.

I have never had trouble with Vance & Hines headers.

like i said this is my 3rd set of the samson true duals...the only failure i have ever had is a heat shield which was 2 years old and when i called samson they sent me a new one free! dyno says good gains on horses and torque and i think they dissipate the heat twice as good as the stock exhaust..i like them

Dealership have just emailed me. The bike is in HD Guildford  Will be ready to ride next Thursday. Waiting on some Harley heated grips to be fitted. (I have been there before with grips on the Road King so I know I am gambling with the effectiveness of the heating elements ). If any of you Brits are around Guildford area - Fatboy63 - maybe you want to head over and check the bike over. A picture would make me a happy man while out here in the North Sea bobbing about on my rig. How does that song go " I'm so excited...."  :pepper:

Most likely end of November (29th 30th)  so the bike will probably be in the showroom over next weekend.

Speak with Steve or Toby if the bike is under wraps,  Send them my regards please.
Looking forward to a nice bimble through the A3 Hindhead Tunnel for the first ride home, then the next milestone is the same tunnel with the V&H Monster Rounds slipons. Cant afford the cans and the passing lights as yet so that ear busting trip back through the tunnel might have to wait for a bit. :jalapeno:

Ride safe

Will do. Have to admit the Tunnel is still a novelty for me, particularly only living about a mile from where it is & lived with the construction for the last 4 years. The sound is really good particularly after fitting the fullsac x pipe with the V&H high outputs. What really looks good in the tunnel is the reflection from the lights on the paintwork, will have to video it some day  :cucumber:

Brilliant idea guys.
The Glide has a few bits to be added on. Or around 4 Dec. will post up when I collect somewhere just after that date.
Ride safe

Congratulation guys for the new ride
I had received mine 3 weeks ago but in Ruby Red, but the only thing I had to wait for is the heated grips of the same model of the original and the rear fender but the American version with the smoked running, brake turn signals, because I hate that square red brake light on the European version, So they have received the painted fender last week and already installed. This weekend, will install the Electric Exhaust from KessTech, it is cool, it has 3 levels of sound that you can change to have the desired sound you want, and for any reason if you are controlled or stopped by the police, you can switch the sound off with the switch mounted on the handle bar, so if they start the bike again to check the sound, it is automatically set itself to the default legal sound level.
 :pepper:
Waiting just for the heated grips by the first week of December.
Good luck guys
I loved that bike

Made it to the Dealership on Thursday but big to the evening event. Sat on the bike and it felt perfect. Told the guys to commission the bike and fit parts all at same time once all bits have arrived. Probably have the bike delivered next week. The ride position, which I was unsure of, is just right for a short legged lad that I am. Still grinning.

Glad you liked your new bike. Are you happy with the coulour and paint finish on the bike?

Waiting for mine to be delivered to the UK. Build date is 20th December. It shoud be getting shipped early January 2012.

Already have many parts for mine sat at home including V&H Pipes, Thundermax Autotuner, different rear lights, curved licence plate, Garmin 660 sat nav and dash mount, and just arrived last week 12" Paul Yaffe bagger bars. Once bike is at dealership and unpacked, it will be straight home and stripped. New parts installed and then hit the road.

This will be in March, as I also work offshore on Construction & Diving barge in Africa. Due home next week so sat looking at the calendar??... Looking forward to getting off here and home.

Africa Al.

Hello,

I've got slate/black SE3 on order and have a few questions for you.  Could you tell me about the windscreen, who makes it, how tall is it, and does it work well?  Also, I noticed you had heat shields on your bike, how are those working?  Anything else you want to share including more pics would be appreciated..

Merry Christmas, Lou

Hi Simon
I've been away working the last few weeks so havent had the chance to ride at all.
But it will happen.
We will get those three Kryptons (Paul1, Plasmadaddy, Fatboy63) and my Black Beauty in that Hindhead tunnel to make a visit to Guildford HD soon.
Have a brilliant Christmas.  :jalapeno: :jalapeno:

Lowrider Lou.  Not totally sure, but if you are looking for a really great windshield, try Windvest.  I just ordered a 9" dark smoke last night.  They have a terrific product.  I have one on my 04 and have always been happy with it.  I've tried them all. Better than Clearview and I did try Freedom.  The Freedom is really too thick where it mounts to the fairing and the protection isn't even close.   The fairing just doesn't seem right because the shield is so thick. The Windvest is the same as stock and the curve at the top is very pronounced. I might try the side protectors another time. I was also told that the wind guard that mounts down under near the tank helps also.  My 04 seems better with the wind.  I'm hoping the Windvest takes care of that.   :2vrolijk_21:

I did not check it at the dealership, I mean I listen to the music, but it was loud and sounded good, it was not until the next morning when I noticed when I put my hand on the saddle bag that it was not vibrating and was not working.

Clocked up a cool 160 miles aroundthe Sussex / Surrey hills today.  :jalapeno: There was frost on the ground in the Downs and the sun was shining. The HD heated grips were amazingly working  :jalapeno:  Dropped into HD Guildford and saw the last Black Diamond to be delivered in the UK, mostlikely as there are no more 2012 CVO SG rides available for the UK market. It's a european specced (KPH speedo and wrong dipping headlight which dealer will change to UK specs) but thats all the dealer could get a hold of for the customer. There was also a sold sign on a red CVO SG and a sold on a white CVO Road Glide.
Brilliant ride up through the Hindhead tunnel with some AC/DC thumping out of the sounds. Must read the manual on how to adjust those buttons. Jump on the bike and ride was my idea. The manual can be read anytime cannt it  :jalapeno: :jalapeno:

That CVO Skunk at Guildford was only on the floor for about 4 days before it sold, they certainly turn the CVO's they get at Guildford out really quickly ! You may have seen my Krypto in the workshop looking very sorry for itself ! Weather last couple of days has been really good for winter riding, can't wait to get it back  :cucumber:

I didn't spot your ride Paul maybe because I was looking at my old 2007 Road King Custom which Guildford had just bought back from the new owner after he had done 2000 miles. It was traded in for a Heritage as he didn't like the beach bars.
Did another 100 miles on the Beauty on Sunday visiting cafes.  Wasn't so cold and just have 250 miles before I can go over the 3500 rev limit.
Ride safe.

Ride safe.
I know what you mean Peter with regard to the 3500 rev limit, very difficult keeping it to that. My mate is after a Road King, do you know how much they are asking & also if you don't mind me asking what did they give you for it in p/x on your Black Diamond.
Cheers & safe riding, Paul.

That's a Fast Aire ~ Areo windshield 10". I've had several windshields ove the past 4 years and it works great, I sit up pretty tall. I can see over a 12" windshield.

I guess the heat shields help, it's still rather warm on the right side (on my calf).
