realine the exhaust
« on: February 17, 2020, 09:17:45 AM »

I have a 2019 CVO and the left side of the exhaust is over to the left. I would like to move it to the right but there is no adjustments to do so , I looked everywhere. any suggestions.

A picture would help. Remove your left side bag and look at the exhaust mount under the bag. You should see plenty of room for adjustment.

The only way I know to move the muffler towards the fender, if that is what are asking, is to loosen the muffler clamp and rotate the muffler counterclockwise. This will help some and you may have to adjust the right side to make them appear more symmetrical.

You can move the cross over pipe further in.

Moving the crossover pipe further in would result in the muffler moving further left which is his complaint now I believe.

My method is loosen the clam where the muffler clamps to the cross over and also the other muffler where it clamps to head pipe.  Then twist mufflers until they achieve equal spacing from the fender.  Its can be time consuming but with patients you can get the spot on.  I will also make sure they are coming out the back the same distance.  I use a tape measure to make sure I have it right.  Then tighten every thing.

One note of caution, don't force the exhaust over and tighten it down while stressed.  That can lead to exhaust induced vibrations.  Loosen all the clamps, then make any adjustments in depth and rotation, check alignment with everything loose, then gradually tighten the clamps starting at the front and moving to the back.  If everything stays where you want it, then go back and fully tighten everything.  As noted above, it's a process that requires time and patience.

I like those. They have a 3-4 week lead time now due to being sold out.

Here is the link if anyone is interested.
