So the other day I was talking to our maintenance guy who happened to have a jug of laundry detergent in his hand. After some catching up I asked when we switched from the industrial stuff for laundry to the store bought. He said that it was not for the laundry it was to wash our fleet cars. I about passed out. It was like nails on a chalk board. :zwtf: I asked if he was kidding and he said no. The bosses needed to cut corners with the budget and so they opted to use laundry soap from the dollar store instead of car wash. The maintenance guy said it's all the same stuff anyways. I wanted to ask if he used it on his own stuff but I did not want to know the answer. I'm quite sure that this would prolly strip down any wax the vehicle might have, just like dish soap. I guess when it comes to stuff that is not your own it should not bother you but man it does. :wall:

Laundry detergent is pure surfactant, no grease cutters. Therefore it should be quite safe for vehicles. I'll take the grease cutters in my cleaner though! I think Dawn is good stuff.

Cutting corners on fleet vehicles is one thing but I hope he doesn't use it on his ride!

Dawn works great on driveway oil stains, apply, let dry and spray with solid stream works great!
