Ok, I have spent money on alot of silly things but this is not one of them. What a great product, but, I had one problem. I like to do my bike in parts like the front and then work my way around which there in created the problem of walking back and forth to turn it off & on. Oh btw, setting the nozzle down just creates one stupid biker chasing a hose around the drive way with on lookers.
Which was very entertaining I was told....
So, I, (me being very lazy) went to the hardware store and purchased a really neat device that I plug the AIR SHAMMY into which in turn gives me a little remote control fob. I put it around my neck and now I can shut it off & on remotely.........so much for stupid ...eh.

I've had that Air Shammy tapered nozzle get away from me a couple of times...it is a comical sight to behold. There's a lot of velocity coming out the end of that thing and it's all over the place when loose and running. LOVE my Air Shammy though...better than anything I've ever used before. A final rinse with distilled water in a pump up sprayer, then a blow dry with the AS...no spots and no wiping.

I used distilled water too I have a pail that gets filled from my air conditioner so its free clean water....... ;D

I must be doing it wrong... I too wash in sections, but I just keep the entire bike wet until it's time to dry. Even though I'm rinsing over and over again, the little Air Shammy still reduces my cleanup time by more than half using the old reliable 'real' shammy. 8)

Maybe I dont know what Im doing but I find mine always creates spots. I just use it to get rid of the bulk water, then use a microfiber towel to do a final dry.

Ok here is what I do. I have a pail that collects water from my house air conditioner. I then purchased a weed sprayer and put a longer hose on it. Then I use that water to rinse bike off. Then use the air shammy and you will NOT have any spots.

For the past 25 years I have used my leaf blower with great results. I put a filter over the intake (sock) to stop any possible crap from flying at the bike. Never had a problem.

You've just got hard water...the only cure for that is to either get a water filter for rinsing, or use distilled water (or condesation water from the A/C unit, as mentioned) in a garden sprayer for the final rinse. It works...I just keep the bike wet until I'm in a position to do the final rinse, then use about a half gallon of distilled water to rinse before blowing dry. No more spots. The water here in my part of the country is really hard (alkaline) with plenty of minerals in it to make nice white spots on red paint. Once on the paint, they are a royal PITA to get off.
