Nothing major has changed on the 110 engine, so the power should still be approximately 79 PS (Pferdestärke) or 80 HP at the rear wheel.

Still seems to be a lot of power for a factory stock motor.  I remember back in the day, the 74s, then the 80s and on up.  Nothing compared to a street bike but definately a step up for Harley. :2vrolijk_21:

my o7 springer 110ci has 61KW written in the paper, that converts to a measly 83PS
my wifes 09 flhx 96ci streetglide 60Kw converts to 82PS

how do they work out these figures, the springer was so restricted a relatively stock 01 carb/nighttrain left me in its dust   :-\

The only way a stock Harley 110 could make 101 PS (102 HP) would be with the addition of nitrous oxide, and then it would probably blow from the strain. ;)

I honestly don't know where that number on your paperwork came from, even if they were to use crankshaft numbers instead of rear wheel numbers the 110 doesn't come close to 100 HP even at the crankshaft. :nixweiss:  I imagine it is a number just used to determine taxation and has no relationship to actual power.

Here in the USA they use what is called Taxable Horsepower on the Certificate of Origin.  It doesn't have anything to do with real horsepower, it is a calculation using bore size and number of cylinders.  The actual formula is bore2 x number of cylinders / 2.5 = taxable horsepower.  As an example, the wife just bought a Ford Edge, and the 3.5L engine produces 265 hp.  On the Certificate of Origin, however, it shows 31.83 hp.   3.641725" bore, 6 cylinders  [(3.641725 x 3.641725) x 6]  /  2.5  =  31.83

I seriously doubt that you can change the information based on a dyno test.  Since it is used for taxation and insurance purposes, I have to believe it is a similar situation to the one here where the number is just a calculation from other data and has nothing to do with measured output.  You should be able to find out what that number truly means from your local motor vehicle officials.

I read a shoot-out in Motorcyclist magazine and they put the stock '09 SEUC on a dyno.

Results were 75hp (76.04 PS) and 88lbs/ft (119.18 Nm). Unfortunately dyno's can vary by type and even from dyno-to-dyno of the same type - so it's only really useful if bike "A" and bike "B" are run on the same dyno under the same environmental conditions. One thing that is interesting is if you believe the rag numbers above, that's a 25% drop from crank to wheel which is really high (even for a shaft drive setup). Remember, H-D claims 115lbs/ft at the crank for the 110 motor in the SEUC.

If the driveline drop is consistent for HP, then it would place the crank HP at ~100, or 101.39 PS.
That number seems consistent with what is stated on "the papers".
