I have this exact same set-up.  What they have as an option is another backrest slot available in the passenger seat and you order another adjustable backrest (or use the front one) as the sissy bar and pad.  If you want this option I'm sure Mustang  would exchange the rear as long as it is perfect - new condition and you were going to upgrade!

Thanks for the response.  Called Mustang, what they will do is a special order on the sissy bar pad in diamond stitch pattern which 10% more than what the price is on a standard pad.  Ordered a 12x9 and shipped it will cost 142 total.  Not terrible but the misses won't get on the bike without it which may actually be a good thing.... :nervous:

I've got the same Wide Tripper Solo on my SESG3.  It fits fine with the fender ribs on...although I didn't buy the pillion pad as I ride my SESG solo only.  (I have the SEURG for two-up riding.)

Now that you have had the seat for a few days now how is the comfort?
Has the rear been used yet. My wife is really picky, I want her comfortable on long trips.

Only used it once as the driver for about 50 miles.  I liked it.  The backrest was great, up, down, in and out.  Sits similiar to the stock.  I'll let ya know what the wife says....

I love the look of this seat but when I called Mustang they said that the Vintage Solo provides more lumbar support than the Wide Tripper.
Have you taken this on any long trips and how was the comfort?

I had the vintage solo on my low rider and I would say that the comfort on both is close.  I didn't have a back rest on the low rider which I feel is the real difference maker.  You're sacraficing some comfort for looks with the wide tripper.  If I were going to be doing 500 mile trips I would get the Vintage Solo....

I spoke with Mustang again and they said the Tripper is an around town seat but if you want something for long distances get the Vintage Solo. I ordered the Vintage, should be here next week.  I cant wait!

I'm surprised they said that about the Wide Tripper.   :nixweiss:  It's definitely alot more comfortable than an "around town" seat.  I've put a couple of 200+ mile runs on the seat, and it's very comfortable...it's definitely more than an around town seat, IMO.

Do you have a significant other that rides on that pillon? I like this seat a lot but it has to be very comfy for both mama and I to justify the purchase!

I actually didn't get the pillion pad for my Mustang. I ride my SESG3 solo.  When I ride with the BSR, we use the SERGU.  I don't know who's citrus that is that has the brown seat on it, as I have just the black solo on mine.  There are others on here that have bought the pillion and I think they've said their BSR is happy with it.
